I'm ok with this thread People think AJ can beat Fury, so people thinking the same about Lennox is fine by me One day soon enough the gospel of Fury will be spoken by all.
All of them were worse boxers comparing to Fury. Grant was about 10 levels below Fury, Biggs was shot, Tucker was old, Akinwande was all defense no offense etc. And Lennox doidn't blow out neither old Tucker, nor Akinwande
How the hell are people still repeating this blatant lie even now? Here's Lewis destroying a southpaw. This content is protected
The same young Fury who struggled with John McDermott? But seriously it's quite impressive how much Fury improved. He was pretty damn terrible at the start of his career, we've all seen him uppercutting himself. If you watch his early fights and watch him now it's amazing how many new skills he's developed over the years. Like when Firtha was hitting him with right hands again and again but now he's developed the shoulder roll and right hands which would hit him before are easily blocked or evaded. That's one of the things that makes him so special, he's always improving and honing his craft, even in his last fight we saw a whole new style employed in terms of ring IQ he's up there with the best.
Fury is the best HW of this current era and gives anyone in history a hard nights work because of the mountain of attributes he has and because he can also be some damn awkward. That said, Lennox is a proven ATG with a who's who of names on his resume.... speed, power, balance, great jab, beautiful right hand, shot selection..... he had it all. For me it's Lennox.... But make the judgement when Fury's career has come to an end where he hopefully has more names on his hitlist than Wlad, Wilder and Chisora.
I've seen a few people reference the Vitali fight now including this so jumping in on this one... I'm a Fury fan but why are we making comparisons based on Lewis last ever fight.... a fight which was also a late opponent change and when let's be honest, the hunger and drive wasn't what it was anymore? And also against a fighter in Vitali that was better H2H than anyone Fury has ever fought.
McDermott is better than that guy lol. That young Lennox is pretty well put together also, should have done a better job.
Lewis would knock him out. Lewis actually has a resume as a boxer, and beat more than one good but way past his best opponent. The way people put Fury against great heavyweights and say he'd win with such conviction is lauaghable. 'he' s big, he can move for a big guy'.
