Not agreed. Klitschko had defence but he took that devastating uppercut. AJ Is an uppercut specialist like Tyson.
The best uppercut AJ has thrown in his career is the only uppercut worth mentioning, the one against Wlad. Wlad a man who never fights inside and immediately clinches. Against Parker he missed all of them, desperate thinking Parker would close in on him which he didn't. Looked army and desperate again against Pulev Won't even be able to throw it against Fury AJ's new unwillingness to fight at close range means his uppercut is pretty worthless against anyone who knows what they're doing. Not like AJ will be the one in a position to throw it up close against an opponent like Fury. He'll be on the ropes hiding behind a high guard crying. Foreman is a perfect example of how you land and throw an uppercut against smaller men from long range. This content is protected
Pulev not the best at defending them. Quicker feet or crossing an arm inside would have dealt with it.
Here's a question for ya...when is the last time you saw a consummate professional throw so many telegraphed lead right uppercuts? Never that's when because a decent opponent would knock you the **** out for it.
It's always been well known that AJ has an excellent uppercut and loves to use it. It's one of the attractions of his style. It's not a new thing. Pulev had no really effective defence against the uppercut. His guard is amateur. That's perhaps remarkable but then we knew Pulev was a basic plodding heavyweight with limited defence. An old Wlad pretty much ended the Pulev hype train 6 years ago, and Pulev was already 33 then.
