Yep and boxing is just the current interest Arabs billionaires are into when it comes to splashing the cash. Normal people might buy a nice car, TV, phone etc to show off to their friends but when you are a billionaire and all your mates are billionaires that isn't going to hack it.

It was football clubs before, such as when Man City was bought by a Sheik for £210 mill. Now it's boxing, you show off to your billionaire mates by buying Joshua/Fury, by hosting the WBSS, by buying Joshua/Ruiz etc.

 

If Joshua can handle being KO'ed in his big US debut by a fat Mexican with a Snickers addiction, I think getting beaten by the King of the Gypsies is something he can brush off with ease.

Fact is Joshua being a puncher always has a punchers chance, much like how the 2nd Fury/Wilder fight drew big attention just because Wilder won about 2 mins of a 36 min fight. Joshua will just say this time I'll go all out instead of boxing him or something, when there's this much money on the line you'll make up whatever to build the rematch and get that big payday.

Lol promoters gonna lose stupid money. Fury wilder 2 only did 850k buys, can’t see this doing much more, maybe 1.2mil, 1.5mil is a stretch but how does that cover $130mil pay each?

 

They expect 2.2 million buys at 25 pounds in the UK alone, but even then, I really don't understand this, unless tickets are going for a thousand pounds each, and 10 million Americans buy DAZN to watch it. Middle Easterners are willing to lose money to see these fights, I guess.

I suppose if they held in UK evening time then it could do those numbers, but you won’t find 2.2mil Brits staying up until 5am to watch this live, even if you did, most of them would be on same household so it would only count as 1.

If you hold it on UK time then you affect US PPV numbers, so there’s a trade off.

then you gotta factor in that promoters, broadcasts and who knows else got to get their share, at least 50%+, and you’re left £25mil to split between Joshua and Fury on that fight. Lol, numbers don’t make sense.

If wilder fights Ruiz and knocks him tfo, he does redeem himself somewhat as he does what Joshua couldnt. Also if Fury smashes Joshua, then that puts him 2nd of the division as he has a Draw with Fury.
