You could put a fine debate forward he wasn't, absolutely. Old mate boosts Tucker up to the limit and well beyond because he's a Tyson victim if you get my drift.
Tough call, but I'm going with Tate. It's easy to write him off after his train wreck endings against Weaver and Berbick. But look at the fights with Knoetze, Coetzee, and the first 14 rounds with Weaver. Tate was a big man (for his time) with good skills. Not always exciting to watch, but effective. I really liked Tucker as an amateur and thought he would be better than he turned out to be as a pro. My guess is that Tate is too busy for him and outpoints him.
Berbick beat the **** out of Tate. And Tucker was far better than Berbick or Weaver. Tucker beat the prime Douglas and McCall a these fighters have incredible big win. Tate did nothing remarkable.
Yes, yes i'm a Tyson hater. I'm sure you will find me posting Tillis or Jones beat Tyson on numerous occasions. Typical knee jerk reaction from someone with his head so far up Tyson's arse things will never be pellucid.
