TBH I found AJ to be rude and arrogant when he didn't want to do an interview with Sky at the end of the fight. It was disrespectful to the fans who paid £25 a pop to watch it on TV, and the 1000 in the arena. £500 for a good seat in the stand !

£25 was a bargain for the fight and undercard id have happily paid an extra £10 for a post fight interview.. only the price of a few cans!

AJ wont do interviews with the YouTube scene now as all the questions will be about Fury and with AJ planning on ducking him its better to say nothing at all.

Joshua probably has better things to do than talk to Kugan Cassius.
His post-fight SKY interview was a bit strange though. But SKY are a bunch of tossers anyway, and anyone who paid money to be in the arena is a fool if they paid to hear what AJ has to say. He's not exactly known as a top class raconteur.
Besides, they got their money's worth on that front anyway, since AJ's hesistance to categorically target the Fury fight next was interesting and has become a minor talking point.

Yes years ago I would go on IFL daily! I don't even bother anymore I find the other channels of similar content better. The long interviews are not really my cup of tea either and IFL love a good long drawn out interview !

Isn’t IFL owned or paid or sponsored by MTK therefore AJ knows who they will be backing?

Everyone in boxing knows Kugan is a melt and he's disliked by most within the fraternity. They only put up with him because his channel will get you exposure. Otherwise if he was starting up now as a newbie, he'd get put straight by everyone and get told to fack off. So no wonder AJ rarely does interviews with him.

Also on a side note, his persona behind the camera is polar opposite to what he's like when he's on the camera.

During one episode of bubble trouble, he literally just stood there looking gormless unable to put two words together whilst Eddie was taking the pisss out of him.

I agree. And why didn’t he just say he wants Fury next. “I’ll fight whoever they put in front of me” Why not fight the guy who is unbeaten, also British and who just gave Deontay Wilder a hiding in his last fight

Interesting to see Adam Smith openly admit that AJs behaviour was a bit strange. Sky / Hearn were also clearly blindsided by Mayweather appearing out of nowhere.

I don't think AJ likes Kugan, I don't think many fighters do, he has a platform with solid views that gives fighters an opportunity to get their faces out there and show a different side to themeslevs so they tolerate Kugan and play the game.

But I also think Eddie does like Kugan and encourages fighters to do interviews with him, it serves Eddie and Matchroom but AJ doesn't need any help raising his profile so why would he want to spend time with Kugan?

Maybe because Fury does not have a record of living up to his commitments and you don't let someone else run your career for you. AJ is not going to let Fury decide his future. If the fight is there in May, he should commit to the Fury fight but I would ensure there are top 10 heavyweight contenders in at least 3 fights on the undercard if Fury lives up to his record of non appearance.

Ah maybe you are right. I’m just tired of the jostling and marinating of fights. I don’t care to see them against anyone else - I just want to see that fight

Every real boxing fan want the Fury/Joshua fight but ask yourself if you are going to wait on a guy who did not fulfil his rematch commitments with Klitschko, did not live up the immediate rematch with Wilder for Fury/Wilder 2, is trying to get out of the rematch for Fury/Wilder 3 and just cancelled his fight with Kabayel.

While there may be mitigating circumstances, I know that I would not be planning my career around waiting for that guy. If the fight happens, it happens but I don't think you will even see a Fury/Joshua 2, irrespective of the outcome of a Fury/Joshua 1 if that goes ahead.

Well, I must say I somewhat enjoy listening to AJ. It is ingenious how he can constantly speak in parables composed exclusively from the idiom of motivational Instagram memes.

He’s a terrible interviewee. Incredibly boring, and probably even worse now with his bizarre pseudo intellectualism. His interviews are only any good when Kugan has managed to wind him up.
