Yes, one can say that Bowyn Morgan was compromised or even dead in the water after that first knockdown - but physics don't lie, and that kibosh looping right was a HECK of a shot, under any circumstances. That loud wet smack, oof. Homeboy stood damn near ring center and yeeted his opponent underneath the bottom rope and nearly onto the floor at ringside.

I know we have seen good kayos in the last twelve months, even with a reduced sampling pool due to Covid. I've seen at least clips of the ones I didn't see live (admittedly my boxing intake has lessened, even before the pandemic). Few have caused me to sit up and exclaim "holy shit" like that (even already knowing the result). ^

Povetkin scored the KO of the year I guess.

No way, I don't even think it sniffs the top 5. But hey this is all subjective.

Povetkin KO Whyte is the clear choice for me.

it's between Povetkin KO5 Whyte or Davis KO6 Santa.

    I'd say Povetkin.

    Kiwi down!

Who said the Kiwi is a flightless bird? This fight is proof that they can soar through the air.

Povetkin's KO was better, partly because it was an old faded fighter knocking out a prime heavyweight ranked in the top ten.

Tszyu's KO was very good, but was less impressive because the opponent was poor.

Okay but stripped of all context, if you had never heard of any of the principles and you watched both kayos in a vacuum, the looping right from Tszyu is a more shockingly explosive and eye-catching shot than Povetkin's uppercut. People can sit and claim they wouldn't be more impressed by it, but they're wrong. :sisi1 I'll die on this hill.

Morgan was getting to his feet straight after.

Whyte and LSC were stiff as a board, thought they wouldn't wake up. Especially LSC.

    Definitely adds to effect

Can't say I agree. But it was a great finish and performance from Tszyu. When was the last time the son of a famous fighter showed this much promise? Obviously it's a bit too early to go making ridiculous claims about him dominating his division and beyond but the future looks very promising.

    Impressive finishing shot.
Third best KO of the year after Povetkin and Davis .
The Russian's uppercut was one of the most brutal violent KO's of the last decade while at the same time technically perfect and beautiful to watch with a certain elegance.
