I'm not a whyte fan, but I don't agree with this. Whyte has proven himself top 10 IMO. Beat Parker, beat Chisora twice, Beat Rivas, and wasn't outclassed by Povetkin either, could easily win the rematch, although not a strong favourite.
The only fight he won out of that lot without controversy was Chisora 2. He has a lot to thank Eddie for.
No he didn't and he should have been banned after failing that drugs test after Rivas and he's still average at best.
I said years ago Ortiz would KO Whyte, I said after he lost to Wilder by KO, he still KO's Whyte, I said after he got KO'd a second time by Wilder, he'd KO Whyte. Well guess what.... my opinion still hasn't changed, if anything, it's emboldened.
I’m convinced some people here are voting Ortiz because they don’t like Whyte. Understandable but at this point in both their careers it has to be Whyte winning. Ortiz doesn’t have huge punching power like Povetkin and he isn’t a 12 round fighter. Whyte stoppage in the later rounds I’d say. TL;DR: Ortiz old, Whyte young. Whyte by stoppage.
Yes he should have he's a cheat. His true level was shown when he barely scraped past Mariusz Wach when he was off the gear and that was the 2nd time he'd been done for drugs. Whyte is barely top 20 on a good day.
You might not like him but he was cleared of any wrong doing for whwn he was wrongly atripped of WBC mandatory. That's like Fury performing poorly against Seferi and Pianetta after his drugs ban. When in reality it has more to do with Fury and Whyte being out shape for fight that resulted in their poor peformances. Whyte has top 5 resume in terms of quality at present.
Refering to when Fury wrongly made Wilder's mandatory when Whyte was stripped wrongly stripped of the mandatory.
