Pitters just didn't have enough power and wasn't aggressive enough. The bodies show and the punching power reflected that shot wise. Clearly doesn't have the natural power to move up either. Fun fight, especially for a Friday
Great stoppage by Richards, Pitters fought scared for such a big man and never really stepped into his punches when you're such a massive target its hard to just to jab your way to victory
The Bookmakers had Pitters 1/5 pre fight where 4/6 Pitters 11/10 Richards was about right. Richards looked the hungrier man from the first bell and deserved his win - the KO coming after Pitters had his best 2 rounds.
Richards boxed a smart fight I thought, knew he had to up the pressure when the cards started to move away from him, paced himself well.
Great fight - shows what happens when you make good matches at domestic level. Whether you enjoyed Arthur-Yarde or not that was another very even, close fifth in the last two weeks. I despair with all these WBC/WBA etc underbelts that promoters use to navigate fighters away from real tests
Had a feeling Piiters - Richards was going to be good and it delivered and then some. Richards hits harder and is overall better than his record suggests, both guys came out of it with credit and a rematch on C5 would be great. Decent coverage surprisingly and a good undercard, no complaints, how boxing should be. That was the kind of fight that if Anthony Yarde had taken earlier in his career rather than beating up Lithuanian bricklayers he might have learned from and become a better fighter but no.
Great these shows on terrestial telly credit to mick and the fighters. Like the production too, and enjoy listening to groves and Woodhall give good insights without any hyperbole or batting for one fighter
