Canelo is a different animal. He even counter punched GGG multipletimes and forced him to think twice before throwing a punch

I was hoping that the size difference would make for an interesting fight, but I guess the Ryder fight really was the precursor. Smith’s a big guy that doesn’t utilise his reach enough.

He does have decent power though, and good fundamentals, but he’s very basic. He needed to be creative to breach Canelo’s defence.

Your probably right cant see anybody beating canelo except maybe BJS as he has high boxing IQ and skills to but again he would need to fight his best ever fight to win Canelo got power to.

What we saw was the combination of a severely weight drained fighter who has been dying at 168 for his last 4 fights. But got away with it because of the poor level of opposition.

As well as an awesome defensive fighter, who is able to avoid getting hit by a fighter with slow feet who doesn’t throw many combinations.

Smith moves up to 175 in his next fight. This defeat is the kick he needed.

Reduced Golovkin to armpunching for great portions of their second fight.
People dont seem to understand there are levels to skillset. Canelo's skillset is well above any fighter from 160 to 175 lbs.

Smith didn't come to win. He came to cash in and avoid getting KTFO. Like Mikey vs Spence.

I can't stand when fighters make excuses then claim "I'm not gonna make excuses" like Smith did after the fight. He said he was outgrowing the weight class, he said he had no problem making weight and there wasn't a rehydration clause either to use as an excuse.

GGG threw and landed far more shots against Canelo than Saul`s last three opponents.

His jab isn`t better than GGG`s, Canelo was hit by a lot of jabs by GGG.

When Callum suffered a detached bicep early in the fight, it made it virtually impossible for him to be competitive.
