It's all clickbait at this stage I'll believe it when I see the official poster. No way they make this fight until they can have a full crowd and/or Fury signs with DAZN/Hearn which he never will.
Yeah, well he still holds majority of HW belts and has the best resume in the division. Was also the biggest name in the game since 2016. That's why the A side thing is close.
The thing is, for people who have memories better than that of a goldfish, there were similar statements and headlines a few months ago. Remember ? All those headlines about talks and how 'reputed gang boss' Daniel Kinahan helped in all the negotiations. Everything was setlled and arranged already, just contingent on AJ beating Pulev (which is done now) and Fury beating Wilder (contract expired now). Hearn, Arum, Fury, AJ were all happy. Saudi or Dubai was the likely location. Eveything important was agreed. Right ? I didn't dream it. Now, they trot out the same kind of stuff. Like, what exactly was left to agree ? You said you already had it sorted momths ago.
****ing hope so. My only regret in case this does indeed happen in May/June is that Fury didn't have a fight this month. The long time since his last fight will be brought up if he loses.
That summarises boxing today for me. Brand is in tatters after one avenged loss, and fans wonder why fighters won't take more risks - why Spence and Crawford won't meet etc. Maybe because the same fans think a fighter is worthless as soon as he loses?
Yeah, but in that case it will only add to gloating. No problem. But if it is a competitive fight that Fury loses it will be at least a somewhat legitimate question if his inactivity could have been a difference maker.
This would be great. A lot of big fights got stalled because of Covid, so hopefully we get a big 2021.
Lol. That brand is still far bigger than fury who had to cancel his last fight due to lack of funds. AJ is the clear a side.
