Canelo has the balls to fight him thats a given...

Canelo also has several advantages over Beterbiev

    More skilled
    Faster
    Better Defense

He also EATS UP pressure fighters

He is also used to fighting bigger opponents

People forget he was a 154, Kova/Fielding/Smith all much bigger and it was no problem

Lets be honest Beterbiev is very slow and robotic, very basic but heavy hands. He is even less sophisticated then GGG.

I would pick Canelo Ud12, he has the defense to avoid most of Beterbievs shots. A big difference when Canelo fights these bigger guys is the speed difference is TREMENDOUS. Canelo is smaller but way too fast for these guys.

At a 169 catchweight and rehydration clause, he might, assuming Artur doesn't die of dehydration in the ringwalk.

    In a fair fight? :nonono

    LOL.

@BCS8 You beat my comment (Which was nearly the same thought) by one minute. I Had it all typed out and you went and stated it first. Had to delete it.

Canelo vs Beterbiev in a fair match would be amazing. It will never happen.

Beterbiev does not have a style that will age - he relies on brute force and blunt force trauma. There are no special effects or reflexes involved so I think it'll take a while before Father Time finally catches up with him.

Maybe Canelo might fight him then but more likely he'll try and unify 168lbs.

I agree but Beterbiev is injured and on the wrong side of thirty.

What a f*ckin fight this would be. These russian fighters just need to find a way to be somewhat of a PPV draw. Otherwise it's never worth the risk. Khabib is a great example of a Russian who's personality and willingness to learn English made him a top draw.

Better Call Artur is the most overrated fighter currently on this board and while Clenelo's a cheat, he's an extremely capable one. Ppl. would be surprised how easy this one goes, Better Call Arthur is no larger version of GGG, nor has ever really faced an elite fighter in his career.

I want to hear Bivol and Beterbiev fight without the crowd so we can hear the noise their punches make when landing.

    • Oleksandr Gvozdyk was outboxing Beterbiev in the early and mid-rounds of their fight.
    • Beterbiev does not throw to the body...Alvarez does.
    • Alvarez spars with Heavyweights.
    • Also unlike Beterbiev past opponent, Alvarez moves his head.

Everyone acts like Beterbiev is some killer, I think Alvarez beats him AND if everyone has to go to Beterbiev in order to beat Alvarez instead of the lower weights, this just shows how special Alvarez is.

If his opposition is overrated in your view, how is he special??
