This was a very fair and even-handed post which doesn't lean one way or the other. I also agree that comparing Vitali to Bugner doesn't do any favors. But I do think Vitali is closer to Bugner, than he is to Foreman whom people are laughably comparing Vitali to.
Ahem, no. It was the Frazier faction that started banging on about 40 year old Briggs and Vitali's later defences. So I took that bone and showed where it leads to for arguments for Frazier - nowhere good.
Byrd has success when he pressed Vitali and as pressure fighters go Frazier is much better then Chris. Don't know if he'd ko Vitali but win a decision or force Vitali to quit are real possibilities.
However you want to spin using height, weight etc Ali and Foreman are much better then Byrd they're both better then Vitali, no shame in losing to them especially considering Frazier win over Ali > Vitali's entire resume. Also the stoppage against Ali was a war back and forth not due to Ali punching power keeping him down, additionally who did Vitali stand up to that had Foreman power nobody he fought hard hitters but Foreman may be the biggest puncher ever. Also if you want to use height as an indication who would win isn't Byrd an inch taller then Joe with pretty much exact same reach and he got it done.
Yes, Vitali tore his rotator cuff every single fight. Can't believe that you picked up on what everybody missed Can't work out how fragile Vitali ended up with a higher KO ratio than the 'greatest puncher ever'. Maybe he was just lucky, eh?
Calling you out on your blatant lies, and attempts to portray yourself as even-handed, is not me getting my feelings hurt.
I posted that when I was watching a lot of the Klitchko brothers. I haven’t seen much of them lately so my opinions definitely changed. My top 5 fighters list also changes pretty often if you want to call me out on that to. Plus your feelings got hurt
You can't convince a klitschko asslicker these type guys believe the Mormeck win by W. klitschko was better than Ali's Foreman win.
It depends on the poster. There are some Klitschko lovers here for sure. Some are reasonable, others just pickKlitschko as a winner in every thread (like BCS8). There is no sense in arguing with the latter category, I agree with you
Finally a reasonable defense for Vitali. Good point that Vitali might win a battle of attrition due to range and having a long torso to potshots from range. Good points here too. Hands down and leaning back leaves your body open and weak to hooks downstairs and upstairs. I wonder if Frazier fought a guy like that?
They brought up Briggs because no one could come up with an answer when asked who Vitali's best opponent was and if he beat anyone as good as Frazier. I believe Dino was the one who said Vitali's best performance was Briggs. Not his words, Vitali's words. Can't blame the Frazier fans for that. The fact Vitali never beat anyone remotely in the class of Frazier is something you simply have to accept and move on to the next subject. Doesn't mean Frazier wins, but it is a valid point.
I never said Foreman was the greatest puncher ever read my post I said maybe the biggest puncher ever from a power perspective not from a finishing or technique view. Additionally a larger ko % doesn't automatically mean Vitali is a better puncher his competition was notably worse then Forman's. Regarding the Byrd fight Chris did have success in that fight and as bad of an injury as Vitali suffered others have fought through worse.
