This is the top 10 heavyweights in todays game according to the ring mag and plus Fury as the ring mag champ, Is this list quality or suspect? I feel Usyk should place much higher and will rank much higher eventually.

Good list but after the top 2 you could scramble the names many ways and still have a reasonable list.
You could drop and add a name too.
For example it's reasonable to think #2, 3, 4 are too high and #6 to low. Ruiz is 1-1 vs. RINGs #1 contender. Whyte is 0-1 vs AJ and 0-1 to 40+ y/o #3. Yeah AJ and Pov are ranked above Whyte. It's relatively level after Fury and AJ.

Ring rating have always been suspect and they've even stated they base it on "reptuation" aka media hype rather than basing what they soley do in the ring.

What have Ortiz and Rivas done to merit top 10 rankings? Ring magazine must really rate Jennings as its the only opponent of note they've beaten. Neither should be in the top 10.

Wilder soley based in the top 3 by beating a guy whose only notable win on his resume is Jennings. Povetkin, Parker, Whyte, Ruiz all have better resumes.

Also having AJ their long term number 1 untill he lost to Ruiz, surley Ruiz would be Number 1? Instead they made Ruiz number 3 and Fury number 1 off the back of beating Seferi, Painetta and drawing with Wilder (although Fury was robbed the win). Surley the man who beat the top guy becomes the too himself? Made even more weirder as up untill the other week (Pulev was in the top 10) AJ had beaten 5 top 10 opponents. That's as many as Fury (1), Wilder (1), Povetkin (1) and Whyte (2) combined.

Ortiz is way too high, he should be about 12.

Whyte should be lower (about 7 or 8) coming off the KO loss. I'd have Povetkin ahead of Wilder, especially considering on the results of their last fights.

Wilder has been in the Ring Magazine top 10 the longest of all names on there. Interesting

It's a pretty poor list to be honest. Apart from Fury & AJ, the rest are very average.

Ortiz was winning his rematch v Wildder while Ruiz hardly landed a punch in his rematch v AJ.

Ortiz won a few rounds against a guy who decided not to throw anything? Wow. Ruiz knocked out the unified heavyweight champion of the world.

Ortiz is absurdly high and Rivas has no business of the list.

Whyte needs to be behind Ruiz. Hunter and Parker, and Usyk could also be put ahead of him.

Ortiz is in the right spot. He performed exactly like someone worthy of his ranking in the Wilder fights. Ageism is not a way to rank.

Rivas shouldn’t be there. Joyce should be.

Usyk could go as high as the spot behind Wilder.

    Wouldn't change anything tbh
You guys talking about Whyte being too high, Ortiz being too high, Rivas being too high, yet you give no names in exchange for them smh
Why is that? Well it's because there is NO ONE ELSE.

In terms of recent accomplishments Usyk should be up with Ruiz and Ortiz below both. Joyce should be on the list instead of Rivas.

I think we've about reached the point where 12+ months inactivity should be penalized. If you haven't fought in 18 months you weren't about to pack Wembley anyway, just get on TV.

AJ always stays on the center line after punching, he floored Ruiz then came sailing in leaving himself wide open and got caught, the same shat Ortiz hurt Wildr with in their first fight when he nearly stopped Deontay would have had the same effect as Ruiz`s counter hook, AJ is pretty easy to counter he really isn`t that good, I`d rate him 8/10 and the guys he beat for the title also.
