You are a just another bloody fool. Ike Ibeabuchi, David Izon, AJ, Herbie Hide, Joe Joyce, Efe Ajagba, Henry Akinwande, Funsho Banjo and Sam Peters are all Nigerians and or of Nigerian ancestry who were top heavyweights and world champions. The great Manny Steward foresaw all of this predicting the demise of US heavyweight boxing saying the future heavyweight champions would come Eastern Europe and Africa(specifically Nigeria). You are going on ignore because I refuse to deal with dubious fools like. I suspect a Nigerian must have shagged your bird. Can’t say I blame here because sometimes a woman needs to feel a real man instead of a limp dick. **** off tiny.
In case you are in any doubt I love my countries Nigeria and the UK. Dubious Heart or whatever he calls himself can literally go to hell. I will not be taking lectures from an idiot who knows nothing about anything . He is dubious by name and he literally has no heart.
Serge mate the Canelo beat down of Callum Smith brought me back to this thread because I feel the so called best at Super Middleweight Callum Smith let British boxing down with his performance against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez or Clenelo as you call him. I always felt he was fortunate to get the title from an injured and compromised George Groves. Callum comes as a typical overhyped British fighter. I need your cousin Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank Jr to restore the respect Smith’s performance dishonoured. Not saying they would win but surely put up a better performance. I also think Joe Gallagher is overrated.
Canelo is at the right division at the moment. Every top 5 168 is aggressive but not quick enough like Smith or quick but not aggressive enough like BJS and Plant.
Don’t wanna **** all over the Americans but Tyson Fury and Anothoy Joshua say Hi! What a wank thread this is.
AJ doesn`t move his head after punching and Fury does a lot of things on clever instinct, but he also does a lot wrong like overcommitting with his jab, Mike Tyson was far better trained and schooled than AJ and Fury, but D`Amato was a genius, Fury`s main strength is his movement, reflexes and hand speed, that`s just natural physical attributes, he`s a great athlete for his size, AJ is quite skilled but highly flawed too.
I suppose there's potentially something in it. Fury's seeming improvement after a relatively short amount of timing working with the Kronk people supports it.
I think Caleb Plant is a quality boxer puncher. I think he and Erroll Spence Jr have the best chance against Clenelo.
This is a general phenomenon in the UK, it's not just limited to boxing. The UK is falling behind in living standards, healthcare, education, technology, manufacturing. Boxing training and sports science is just one symptom.
Spence is a weight bully, he`s never been hit with middleweight power and is a lot easier to hit than Canelo, Plant would destroy Spence at 168 because he`s bigger and stronger, Spence doesn`t belong with the big boys.
There is a weird boxing politics thing regarding trainers that goes as far down as amateurs. I don't know exactly what causes it. Shitty trainers that encourage the 'muffin guard', as I call it, seem to get promoted for whatever reason, and if they're with a certain gym it's guaranteed they'll have boys who go far. The amateur system from the grass roots in the UK is extremely stupid and still favours certain styles, and discourages pro movements, styles etc. It's also full of robberies that discourages lots of skilled boxers from competing. Once, years and years ago, my dad was teaching on a course of sorts for England Boxing or whatever, and he showed certain types of old school blocks to hooks - the type that guys like Canelo still use. He straight up got told 'we don't do that in amateur boxing' and an argument ensued. He never taught on those courses again. Basically, Britain has lots of good trainers, it has just become a 'who you know' thing, and skills have suffered because of it.
Tyson Fury fired his old trainers and is now with Kronk Gym. It was Kronk who got him trained proper for the Wilder rematch and it showed. In other words, Fury is an example of the OP's point and why he switched.
