Tony Bellew is a ****, I have no time for ****s like that. But he has a point Canelo was a cheating ******* and he got away with it but hey, so have many of them. It doesn't take away the fact that Canelo beat on his mate Smith like a father beating a naughty son.

Has absolutely no self awareness whatsoever. How he hasn't realised that the way he acts around Chisora, Joshua etc is incredibly embarrassing I have no idea.

As much as I like to slate Bellend, Canelo is a proven PED cheat. Hardly a stretch, guy looks like he's on rocket fuel.

It's a must, it has to be done.
No thread containing bellers would be the same if he didn't get the stick he so freely deserves!!

Hes got a point. Smith is an absolute freak for the weight and yet canelo pretty much bullied him in there. Somethings not right with that. In terms of skill fair enough but size, strength etc no one from where canelo came from...should have been able to bully smith like that. Smith has the dimensions of a light heavy.

He has the dimensions of a cruiserweight, but he prefers to boil down and try and weight bully. You can’t get away with that in your 30’s. He’s pretty much starving his body to make 12 stone & he’s ended up with less power and durability as a result. Meanwhile, Canelo could probably have a fry up on the morning of the weigh in cos he’s strong and healthy at the weight. That’s the difference.

I don't really agree that weight bullying is a thing mate. If a fighter can make a weight, and be effective at that weight, then that is their weight.

Probably true bud. Although in the build up they,ve all said time and again callums makes the weight comfortably. Also after the event...again the few interviews i,ve seen said he might stay at the weight as its not really the problem. Plus i reckon canelo bullies most fighters at that weight.

Hes a naturally strong boy canelo...but i cant remember many short guys that grow into new weights and bullied guys in the heavier weights quite like canelo has. Floyd and duran beat them with skill. Pacman beat them with speed. Canelo as skilled as he is...is beating them with strength mostly. None of them can really stand with him...yet its the same guy that went the distance with matthew hatton and late into the fight with ryan rhodes. I get he was drained...but its really unusual to keep growing and continue to outmuscle the guys in the higher weight classes.

Be interesting to see smith in the new weight class. Hes one guy with the dimensions for it...but i bet he still struggles with decent guys in the new weight class. The power will be heavier...they,ll be stronger...theres a reason they,ll try keep him down in weight. And yet theres canelo walking into new weight classes backing them all up...like its nothing.

never really understood the notion either.

Saturday was the first time Callum has looked significantly drained at the weight; throw in he was in there with one of the best chins in boxing and had a few weeks notice it’s no surprise his punches didn’t carry any pop.

Definitely time for him to move up now though

Munguia is an example I can think of when he was at 154. When they’re young they can dehydrate and then hydrate significantly better and then come in huge on the night. I guess you’re right, they can make the weight and that’s fair enough but I think British fighters/trainers can’t let go of that mentality as they get older. They stay at the weight way too long cos they think just cos they can still make the weight that they’re healthy at it.

Campbell can still make the 135 limit at 33...the same limit he was making at 26 years of age. There is no way he is as strong and durable as he was at 26 at that weight and he’s going to get chinned. He’s staying at that weight in order to gain what he thinks is a significant size advantage on the night but he will be weaker as a result imo.
