Wow. Candidate for worst post of the Year. Jesus. (LOL)

You, my friend, do not know **** about boxing.

Longest reigning heavyweight champion of the 2010s. 11 WBC heavyweight title defenses, one of those successful defenses against a two-time and current Lineal champ. Undefeated for nearly 12 years, entering his eighth year running having never been out of the Ring top 10. Knocked out everyone he's fought as a pro except for arguably one of the most skilled boxer/punchers, not to mention the largest (6'9" 270) world heavyweight champ in history.

And you think Wilder has more in common with Pat Comiskey - who was in the top 10 during one of the worst years for heavyweights for only a matter of months before getting knocked out in one and disappearing -- than any heavyweight in this thread?

Christ. And one clown even agreed with you.

Who let either of you on here? (LOL) I'll take nothing you ever say on here seriously again. Seriously.

    You lose.

Had Baer and Wilder actually fought, and Baer destroyed him he would still be arguing Wilder will beat him 9 times out of 10 if he can just get his weight right, it was a fluke, Wider TKO 1 in rematch.

I don't think Wilder is a bum, but dude wasted his career protecting his 0 with the WBC trinklet, while never testing himself or growing his skill set. He isn't in a hurry to get back in the ring and is 35 years old, he's done.

The opinion that Baer, who never made a single defense even against a failed light heavyweight contender, wouldn't be champ today against Fury ... or that Wilder is a better puncher than Baer aren't ridiculous opinions.

They are opinions backed up by facts provided by any number of people in this thread.

A ridiculous opinion is that the longest reigning champ of the 2010s who has been in the Ring top 10 for nearly a decade and made 11 title defenses was no better than a guy who spent a handful of months at the bottom of the top ten 80 YEARS ago, got stopped in one, and basically never made it back again.

Regardless, Baer would have to beat Fury to be the champ today. So it doesn't really matter.

The opinion that Wilder is an all-time great fighter is ridiculous.
I agree, Baer likely wouldn't be the champion but neither is Wilder and he never really was.

The fighters he's blasting like Galento and Primo had durability and guile, while I believe Wilder wouldn't do any better against Baer than Comiskey regardless if he's better overall or not, that same lack of durability, experience, and mental toughness....will get him chinned.
