BARB has sky box office at 848k so give and take room for error probably did 800k or close.

The £24.99 price point made a difference or not?

I think those are decent numbers vs Pulev. For a Fury v AJ fight I think BT and Sky will both agree on £29.99.

They must be pleased with that. Pulev is a difficult guy to sell.

Sadly, I think they'll consider the move to 25 is vindicated and that will be to coin a phrase...'the new normal'

How would a fight between a prime Mike Tyson v AJ have cost?!

The Joshua PPVs will be £25 plus and everyone else’s will be £20 I’d imagine.

Trying to gauge what the buys for AJ v Fury would be: 2-2.5m?

For purely UK PPV buys I think this is not a bad guess.
If AJ v Klitschko did 1.5m this is definitely a 2m PPV buys fight at least.
Will probably be the most illegally streamed fight ever too!

I also suspect a lot of hardcore fans that previously refused to line Eddie's pockets will buy this one.

I tell you mate, the recent Angling Club Xmas Party on 12 December down by the Mersey was totally packed out with absolutely no space at all for any social distancing. They came from all over the world and I am hearing that Angling venues were being packed out from the Mersey, right along the Mediterranean with fellow US Anglers along the Mississippi now joining the party.

I blame these Box Office nights as the Angling Clubs are far less busy when Boxing is on live on Sky Sports or BT Sports.

Sad times when the river is saturated with Angling boats and you cannot even make it through the crowds in the bar when bursting for a single fish.

I enjoyed my peg that much on the 12th @Jurgen that I paid it an even more successful visit on the 19th.

Had to clear my peg of some weed and rushes initially but then the water was clear.

Back on topic, Fury v AJ will easily smash 2M PPVs.

It will be the biggest sporting event in the UK since a kickabout in the summer of 1966.

May the best man on the night(s) win.

And thats just Pulev fella. The common will be as packed as the M20 to Dover come the night of AJ-Fury.

May well have to settle for evening scrabble with a spot of orange squash and digestive biscuits at the residents committee instead

Unfortunately it’s looking more and more likely the big showdown between AJ and Fury will be contested stateside 2021.

    £29.99

In their words ‘for the fans’

It sold more in the UK than Bellew vs Haye 1, Wilder vs Fury 1 and Wlad vs Fury.

Think Eddie will he happy but this will be the normal price for AJ fights now unfortunately.

Looks like it. AJ is probably the only fighter that they can do this with. His popularity is extremely high and isn't decreasing anytime soon.

It's why I'm not so certain Hearn and AJ leave Sky to go with DAZN. Yes an AJ fight will see a huge uptake in subs but that's a lot of money left on the table when you remove PPV revenue plus Subs for one month and then cancellations until the next AJ fight isn't growth. To get AJ off Sky Box office I think it would have to take a huge offer to AJ from DAZN giving him ridiculous guarantees.
