I'm not overly impressed by him. But I don't know if he's THAT bad a waste of talent as Khan. For one thing he actually throws counter punches, he often utilises a counter left check hook and he already knows how to clinch on the inside instead of just stand there with his hands up taking shots like Khan used to do. He is very upright and his chin is literally hanging out there to be tagged, but until he gets chin checked we really don't know if he's hiding glass like Khan.
Yes Garcia was in bad trouble in one of his fights badly rocked, I don`t know if he has a weak chin but like Khan he gets caught flush because of bad positioning, his career will go down the same path unless he improves his fundamentals, all he has is a sharp hook, he`s extremely limited.
It`s a shame Oscar didn`t hook up with Mayweather Sr earlier in his career, he didn`t know how to land the right that well, he doesn`t have any wins that match Frazier or Foreman, he lost many big fights.
Khan fought decent competition & fought on to become a champ even after a brutal KO loss. Garcia isn't the same breed as Khan if you're 20 years old and can make millions selling your body to teenage boys then you don't even really need boxing and he is showing that If Luke Campbell comes to win and is up for the fight he will give Garcia some problems.
Khan at the middle of his career was getting into dangerous fights and believe it or not pulling himself off the mat to fight onward in tough battles like with Maidana. Ryan the dancing kid has yet to face any dangerous opposition.. The kid has a bad habit of going back straight and his chin is on broad street it’s so high and open I guess we will find out sooner or later
I think Campbell did better v Loma than Garcia would and is more skille than Garcia but Ryan has more power and that could be the difference.
Garcia might be the first boxer to retire a billionaire without beating anyone of note, if he cares about his legacy then he'll make the tough fights happen but if he's just about money then he'll be having trilogies with Logan Paul and KSI on Youtube then going home to his golden mansion.
He's a loudmouthed arrogant punk who hasn't done nada in the ring yet. Unless you are a 12 yr old girl, that is. Then he's cute. Kid needs to learn some lessons. Getting KTFO will help him more than hurt him. Maybe then he'll grow up into a mature, respectful, good boxer.
