So for others, I might start to prepare Holmes. He likes me and was good boxer. However his marquee win was over ill and damaged Ali. His marquee loss vs young Tyson. It's heavyweight, therefore it is better. Definitely and sure for fans in forums.
What is this nonsense? I’ve never even debated you before. Ertwin said that Eastern European fans don’t rate Larry Holmes and Ray Leonard. Great. Is that something to be proud of? I respect fighters from all over the globe, and all throughout history. I’m white and British, yet my favourite fighter of all time is Roy Jones. I was also a big fan of Vitali Klitschko. I don’t debate on race etc. I don’t care whether a fighter is black or white, or what part of the world they come from. I respect fighters from all eras, weights and continents. You don’t even know me as a poster. So don’t come at me with this garbage.
of course I take the styles into into account! the whole basis of my argument is based around styles! and I say that flat footed, offensive minded fighters of the past that barrel forward face first, which is how the majority of fighters who actually have film to study fought.....they would very difficult time meshing with the more defensive guys of today who are more nimble on their feet and have perfected the art of timing and not only that but have learned to be more economical with their punches, whether by volume or by accuracy. styles evolve my man....were you the poster that brought up guys fighting 15 rounds as if that was some type of advantage over modern fighters? in my experience 15 round fights/fighters were often much slower paced, with much more of a feeling out phase between the two fighters. those fights often times didnt start heating up till the 7th or 8th rounds.... advantage modern fighters, who know they have 3 rounds less to work with and are there by instinctively picking up the pace much earlier
15 rds requires more calculating how you use your gas tank and sometimes might gave advantage to marathon type guys. Slow-fast, sharp change to save gas tank resources. yeah and still sometimes 1 st - 4 th round stoppages had happened.

Styles make fights even with 2 fighters of the SAME era. Just more ignorant generalising from you. Boxing stopped evolving a long, long time ago. It just ebbs and flows.
