Your logic is not welcome here. OK, you're right. Once again I have screwed up. So for the little of the decade that has lapsed I pick Fury vs Wilder 2 or Lopez vs Loma. Both entertaining fights for different reasons.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. To answer your question though, I pick... on my short list. I may add more. Estrada-Cuadras II Eggington-Cheeseman Martinez-Harris Gongora-Akhmedov Akhmadaliev-Roman Zepeda-Baranchyk Ziani-Dilmaghani Makabu-Cieslak Nakatani-Verdejo
You and a few others have an impressive catalog of boxers you keep tabs on and follow. It's part of why I use this place as my go-to source for boxing. One question I have, now the two most prolific switch hitters (orthodox and southpaw) I've seen recently are Tyson Fury and Terrance Crawford. Are there many others out there?
Wlad could have fought all of the division in 2015 and probably beat all of them brutally excluding AJ. Fury went in there and toyed with him for 12 rounds whilst Wlad spent the entire fight telegraphing his garbage offence, trying to headbutt and doing fairy twirls getting saved by the ref.
Some great fights to look back on here but I would also like to give a nod to Josh Warrington v Carl Frampton. A terrific punch up fought in a fine spirit. A credit to both boys and Boxing in general.
GGG vs Canelo 2, even though I disagree with the scoring. 2 elite fighters, showing exceptional skills and both having their moment. That being said, I'm sure there were better fights I haven't watched
Of all the insane fights we saw in 2013... Prov-Bradley, Froch-Kessler 2, Maidana-Broner, Lara-Angulo...The one you choose is a one sided boring schooling? Matweather-Mosley also comes no where close to Kahn-Maidana
Floyd Canelo I'm going to leave as the context for me was important. It was the first time my casual boxing friends were so sure that the young hungry lion was going to topple the defensive wizard. So they hyped up Canelo to the point that a 12 - 0 shutout was super impressive to me and I still enjoy running back the highlights every now and then. Even in defeat it was still a passing of the torch type match from Mayweather to Alvarez. I do agree Provodnikov Bradley was a great fight but I think the schooling was a more meaningful fight to boxing and an absolute masterclass by Floyd. This content is protected However I'll agree with you with Khan Maidana in 2010 and updated list accordingly. 2010 - Khan vs Maidana 2011 - Ortiz vs Berto 2012 - JMM vs Pacquiao 2013 - Mayweather vs Alvarez 2014 - Mayweather vs Maidana 1 & 2 2015 - Cotto vs Alvarez 2016 - Alvarez vs Khan 2017 - Joshua vs Klitschko 2018 - Wilder vs Fury 2019 - Pacquiao vs Thurman 2020 - Wilder vs Fury 2
Fair enough... It was IMO Mayweathers best PERFORMANCE while him and Maidana 1 was my favorite fight he was involved in especially being that Maidana was the first to actually test him and drag him into deep waters in a very long time. I thought it also showed that Floyd can have good and exciting fights it was more so just up to the opposition.. Maidana came in hungry and took it straight to Floyd..... Canelo, Pac, Mosley ect all just came in with stupid game plans and did nothing to push the fight, can't blame Floyd for that...hated how people branded him boring when it was actually the other fighter who came in and made nothing happen. The Mosley fight was obviously exciting in round 2 yet everything from that point forward was another one sided master class schooling.
