Seen this on another thread. Sad news indeed. Rip champ. My thoughts and prayers are extended to his family and friends at this time.
Want to express my deep regrets to his family. I read about how he was doing poorly, but he is now in a better place and pain free. He suffered because he loved boxing so much, that he could not give it up, and whereas the hurt of losing a wonderful husband and father cannot be mitigated, he did things his own way, on his own terms, and that is more than most can say. He handed my all-time favorite fighter his first defeat, and I'll always love the man for it. That's boxing! Rest in peace, old pal.
