Scared of Gary Russell but faced the more scary Tank! Yes that really makes sense. The same Gary Russell who quit against Lomachenko.

Not sure about the jaw, but Tank has certainly displayed a glass heart. After running from Loma for 3+ years, and he'll likely do the same with Teo/Haney/Berchelt/Stevenson/anyone with a pulse.

Shot Gamboa, undersized and declining Santa Cruz, Euro level Walsh and the only quality prime fighter being Pedraza. Cmon now, some serious revision of what a quality opponent is.

@Olu G. Rotimi named Duckvonta Gayvis the most exciting fighter of the decade. Nuff said.

Could be. It's often the case when fighters face carefully selected opponents that their management knows they're packing glass and they want to protect the investment as long as possible.

As long as he feasts on a steady diet of blown up featherweights and washed up faded former champs, we may never know. The real question is how long with his dumb ass fan base continue to gobble up the turd sandwiches he’s serving up? Will they allow him to do this forever and pretend the top fighters are too scared to face him?

Gamboa on one leg, made little Tank look foolish at times. Two legged Gamboa would have been more interesting and young Gamboa would have embarrassed him. Tank is a media creation, milking his fame until he’s exposed. It’s just a question of when.

No I did not idiot. I said he was exciting. Big difference between saying he is exciting and the most exciting fighter of the decade. He has probably not been around at a high level for most of the decade but as of today right now he is the most exciting fighter in the world to watch that’s why he is packing out arenas. He brings skill, speed, highlight reel knockout power .

Nobody called the then undefeated Walsh merely Euro level going into the fight. The revisionism is by you guys with your anti Mayweather agenda. Now the great Leo Santa Cruz a 4 division world champion at the peak of his career was suddenly in decline because Tank knocked him out brutally. Gamboa was put down 3 times and stopped now he was shot but subsequently the 2 time email champion Devin Haney one of the hottest properties in boxing could not stop him. Yeah revisionism indeed.

I've made multiple threads praising Davis before. Because I really like his style in the ring. He is definitely an exciting fighter to watch. And he has so much talent. But over the years I've lost patience with his management team. Hes just not fighting any top fighters. They're all small or on the decline.

Which is why I'm thinking he must be packing glass. The fact that he is so protected.

This seems like a stoner thread.

So far we have to assume he has an iron chin. Soon he'll have to fight the hardest hitters, and we'll know for sure.

Everything I've seen indicates that he can ship a single shot or two pretty well. We haven't seen him hurt badly so we don't know how he'd recover.

But honestly, I think if he gets stopped eventually, it might be down to being poorly trained for a fight or lack of focus rather than an innate lack of punch resistance.

What is the evidence of Leo Santa Cruz being in decline or to small when he was a current world champion at the weight Tank sparked him. Let’s not forget Tank and his team originally wanted the fight at 135 pounds but Leo and his team insisted on 130 pounds so Tank conceded and won. I have noticed fighters like to call him out but less reluctant to get in there with him.

I rate Davis but his opponents have been subpar and I never thought too much of Walsh. Everyone said Leo was in decline following his shoddy performances post Frampton 2. Especially that gimme fight for basically a free belt against Miguel Flores who isn't even fringe contender level and also a featherweight, not a super featherweight. Gamboa has been considered shot for years. Man is 38 ffs.
Seriously I know you probably worship him but no, his opponents haven't been quality and you're just buying into the overblown hype they're trying to generate.

Twink has literally fought one world class 130-135 pounder and that was the highly skilled Pedraza who fought like a moron in that fight completely abandoning his considerable skills and height and reach to wade in face first to Twink's bombs all night.

Twink's second best win LSC is a blown up 122-126 pounder at best who had only fought above 126 once before in his career, in his previous fight against Flores who as ShovelHook correctly pointed out is a 126 pounder too and D level at best. Twink is a thick-set and powerful 135 pounder who hits like a truck for that weight class, whereas the biggest puncher LSC had previously fought is probably Frampton at 126 and Carl was coming up from 122 for their first fight and the rematch was his second fight at 126. Twink's size and power was always going to be the deciding factor against a 126 pounder as it has been for all those other 122 and 126 pounders they've been feeding him.

His third best win is a 38 y/o Gamboa who is a blown up 126-130, has been shot to bits since the last ice age, should be 5-7 up at 135, has only stopped 2 of his 12 opponents at that weight and one of them was shot to bits and had only fought once in over three years, has always been chinny, hence why he's been dropped in something like 11 different fights, and was fighting with the huge handicap of only having one good leg for 10 rounds of the fight after badly injuring it in round 2. A 35 y/o Gamboa with two good legs was stopped in 7 rounds by a 23-12 glorified journeyman. Twink is a talented fighter and I've always maintained that but his resume is hot garbage.
