Chisora did better v Usyk than Berbick would have, Berbick was a pretty basic fighter, Chisora woulfdd be too strong for him.
Berbick and Chisora both hit the spotlights, being there at the right time. They never possesed any talent for doing well outside the era in whish they appeared. This would have been an ugly fight with a lot of clinches. Their lack og ability to control a fight behind a jab would have let to both swinging wildly, missing a whole lot and sometimes when connecting either the referee or one of the brawlers would fall to the floor.
"Berbick is a pretty basic fighter"? What do you think Chisora is? Berbick beat Chisora all day, every day.
Both limited boxers, but Berbick did show glimpses of talent. I think if Berbick comes out relaxed he beats Chisora by UD or late stoppage, if he comes out nervous someone is getting KO'd in the first 6 of a slopfest. In a nutshell Chisora a good journeyman in a weak enough era of heavies vs Berbick a champion from a weak enough era of heavies, but the top boxers had better fundamentals.
Berbick beat Tate, Page and Thomas. Page and Thomas were undefeated. All of these wins are clearly better than the best Chisora's win (Takam).
I probably would too. But Derick could certainly prove to be a similar threat to Berbick like renaldo snipes
