No offense meant to Cunningham( heavyweight isn’t his division) but, any struggles Fury had in their fight years ago probably isn’t very telling of his abilities to beat any given opponent today. Maybe not the best analogy but, Mozart may lack focus playing the pub but, is still a gifted composer/musician.

Fury grew up in a fighting family, training officially since 10, his ring IQ is exceptional as are his reflexes. He’s also a giant and tough as nails. Not always focused and/or properly trained.

Usyk is an exceptional athlete and natural to the sport, training since he was 15, very skilled prototypical technician. He’s also tough as nails but, is small in the modern heavyweight division. Always focused and trained.

On paper, the ‘good big man beats the good small man’ argument applies...but I think Fury has the edge regardless of size, he has too many ways to beat his opponent, Usyk has one and I don’t think he’s out boxing Fury.

The only fighter in the game right now capable of beating Fury, is Fury, he’s got multiple ways of doing that too. That’s the most telling information on who’s going to win at the moment.

Fury is still improving, Usyk is as good as he'll ever be but is in a division where the top guys aren't a load of over hyped scrubs.

Usyk is class and very, very tricky southpaw... But If Usyk was ahead on points at the half way stage, there is no way in hell Fury wouldn't change his style to lean on and bully Usyk, just like he did Cunningham.

Usyk would fold like a wet paper towel before it ends, he was having trouble keeping Del boy off him!
Fury would not let Usyk dance to victory over 12rnds.

Give Usyk time to adjust to the division and he beats anyone there, including Fury.

He does have that option if Usyk starts overwhelming him with his speed and workrate. Personally I think Fury is made to look incredibly clumsy in this fight, lots of whiffed punches and having to reset, but he's also a very physical fighter when he needs to be, and Usyk isn't going to look too comfortable in there when Fury starts mauling him either.

I don't think you could look anyone in the eye and say that knockout of Cunningham was legal. Fury would have been disqualified if any rules of boxing where followed in judging that KO. Pull someone's face back viciously, simultaneously blinding him and then smacking him in the face with his other hand. Does Fury realise this isn't some caravan gypsy game of thrones dust up?

The thing is with biased fans is that they ignore everything and follow their idol like mindless slaves. You're not even a fan of boxing you're just an idiot

    Cool story bro

Using the forearms, clinching & pushing is all part of the game.

Boxing is fighting and fighting is physical.

The list of pro's who use these tactics is endless. Floyd, Foreman etc etc...

Fury used his forearm to push him out of his guard then swiped him into oblivion. Brutal, illegal maybe but nothing out of the ordinary.

Rabbit punches are the worst and it's widely seen. Kidney punches. Headlocks.

    Again...it's a fight.

Boxing is an artform as much it is a nefarious nasty sport.

Lmao you're an idiot. Totally avoided the actual point. I have never seen anyone do what Fury did there in that KO. And even if someone else did do that (which I can assure you, they did not) this does not make it legal. Go on send me a link and timestamp of another fighter getting a KO in similar fashion and not being disqualified.. I'll be waiting a while..

You're lying to yourself. You're either a huge troll or just beyond deluded

Well you've dug yourself a hole now matey. I'm sure others will pitch in with examples they can recall.

It's no more illegal than Foreman knocking out Roger Russell with blatant kidney blows.

Yes, because Fury is the same exact fighter he was 7 years ago, and has not improved at all in that as a top professional in his craft.

Usually its not good analysis bringing up fights that happened that long ago as predictors for current matchups.

LOL wow you're very smart.. now send me a link and timestamp of another fighter getting a KO in similar Fury fashion and not being disqualified..like what I said previously. Floyd should have been deducted numerous points here and disqualified. Nothing in the video is as excessive as that Fury KO of Cunnigham.. Which he should have been disqualified for and is the main point which you have yet to provide any decent points against.

This thread reminded me of this nonsense...

Mike Tyson struggled and lost against Henry Tillman in the amateurs. Tillman can beat him!

Cunningham was forever ago with a Fury who no longer exists. Good luck Usyk.
