Crawford’s belts are also at stake. If you want to fight the champ sometimes you are going to be underpaid. If Porter wins, bigger paydays are ahead and, besides, it’s not like Crawford is a ppv king.

    On one hand, low offer.

On the other, why is Porter turning down another title shot? Take the offer, win the fight, dictate terms for the future.

    I hate this challenger mentality.

If Kell Brook got 2 million, why should porter accept 1 million. Clearly a lowball offer. You can say some of the reason has to do with PBC over paying their fighters in the first place, but this is a clear display of assholery.

Porter should take the million on the condition that's also what crawford gets as well.

I’m for Porter getting as much as he can but let’s be realistic. Who needs this fight the most and who else is Porter going to fight to earn a million? No way Porter is going to get as much as Crawford.

Yes but it’s a very high risk fight, why take it if you can have an easier fight for the same amount of money

Porter earns millions with PBC . He made close to $10 Million for the Spence fight. It would seem Arum and Bud don’t really want it otherwise why send him a low ball offer.

Yeah kind of like PBC and Spence telling Crawford he will have to take a 70/30 or 80/20 split. But of course that does not match up with you agenda. Please give me an example of a bout between two World Champions where one side was expected to take a 70/30 split more or less an 80/20. The fact is that Porter has no belt and if he is good enough to beat Crawford he can make up any shortcomings in this bout as the Champion. It is a "lowball number" for Porter because when he loses to Crawford his "big money" days are over.

The same kind of "assholery" that Porter's old man used when he told Crawford to "get a belt before you get to fight Shawn or Spence." So when Porter had a belt he was not interested in fighting Crawford. But now that he does not he is worried about being "lowballed." Karma is a *****

I will call Bulls--t on that. Guarantee was TWO million and that was based on up to 500K PPV. "Errol Spence Jr. vs. Shawn Porter prize money, purse The guaranteed purses for Spence and Porter were revealed Friday morning when Yahoo Sports reported both fighters will be making $2 million, with each getting a percentage of the pay-per-view buys. It's estimated the fight will draw between 300,000 and 500,000 buys at $74.99 apiece."

I actually think Crawford needs it more.

Porter is a two-time welterweight champ (WBC and IBF). He's fought Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Kell Brook, Devon Alexander, Adrien Broner, Andre Berto, Yordenis Ugas ...

If he can't get a fight with Crawford, Porter can fight Mikey Garcia in a WBC welterweight eliminator. I think they're the top two contenders.

Porter's credentials at the weight are solid.

Who is Bud Crawford going to fight if he doesn't fight Porter? Custio Clayton?

I know Arum says he's losing money on Crawford. Then cut Crawford loose.

Lol that's funny well Spence has a better resume and more belts than crawduck so why does Crawduck insist he gets 50/50 when 60/40 is more than fair with crawduck having a worse resume and less belts apply your same energy to crawduck as well because 60/40 vs Spence is a hell of alot more than 1mill I can guarantee you that!!!

    :lol::eusa_whistle:
    Garcia - 1mil.
    Ugas - 1.25mil.
    Spence - 2mil.
    Formella - 1mil.

Yeah, a real low ball offer that was.

I wonder if Porter even made a counter offer, or did he immediately ***** about it online?

Why don't they put it on ppv?
They say they're buddies so split it 50-50

He just got a million for that Formella guy he just fought hahahaha.

Shot, irrelevant Brook just got 2 million.
Porter had big fights against Thurman Spence Garcia and could rematch them for good money.
Crawford has to fight the usual unknown mediocrities he fought so far if he doesn't get porter in the ring with him, because Pacquiao or Spence are not happening right now.
