Lora probably was every bit the talent Gomez was. Gomez’ style just maximized his attributes more.

We'll have to disagree on that. I think the gap in talent is huge. You might be giving Canizales more credit than he deserves.

Gomez had better reflexes by a mile, for one. Canizales wasn't hard to find at all.

Gomez was also fleeter of foot, and his footwork was more versatile.

Chin is literally the only thing Canizales had over Bazooka.

It doesn't matter what mentality Canizales has, even if he was a mean guy I doubt he's beating Zarate, let alone blowing him out. And if he was mean, he might beat Davila, but he wouldn't decimate him the way Gomez did.

Gomez was able to do those things not only because he was mean, but because he was exceptionally gifted.

Canizales wasn't in that kind of talent bracket.

The gap was probably bigger than I let on, true. I don’t necessarily agree with any of those specific attributes, but blending it all together was much more natural for Gomez. But I think that ties into mindset as well. We’ll agree to disagree on the finer points, but I concede the talent argument.
