    What does this mean exactly, and can anyone give examples of a fighter getting it during his career?

    22 year old anybody can hop in a time machine and bully his 19 year old self. (to a much greater extent than they'd be bullied, if at all, by 25 year old themself).

    I remember at one point in his career, Lennox was slimmer. He became huge later.

    You’re witnessing it now with Shakur Stevenson and Ryan Garcia., Both turned pro at 19 look at the way they punch now vs when they first started..

    its hard to put into context in boxing because guys just move up un weightclasses, but in general terms, once you hit a certain age you seem to add muscle or at least strength easier, which is kind of weird because scientifically you actually start to lose muscle by your early 30s. of course it's not as noticeable if you already work out.
    best example I can think of would be George Foreman though.
    had a totally different physique when he came back, but in a lot of ways seemed more durable

    Strength =/= power.

    Sakio Bika is bull strong, but not really unduly powerful.

    Randall Bailey could level a man with a single flush well-placed shot, but he could also get bullied in a clinch. (powerful, not really unduly strong)

    Well, there experience too matters and each month might gave a lot in this age.
    I still agree likse 22-23 y.o vs 17 y.o versions = sure.
    Prime depends from plenty of variables: age, real mileage ( this includes in sparrings and even casual training during camps ), fights: how they had been done, therefore number of rounds in the ring matters more than number of fights etc.
    Opponent's level, to walk 3 rounds vs pillow fisted opponent is easier than to walk 2 rounds vs someone with punches delivering impressive effect.
    KO/TKO real bum, especially if bum with short notice and prospect after really decent pre fight preparation is easier than to walk 1 round vs someone who is not a bum.
    Therefore even lost fight vs top ranked guy might be better IRL than half dozen of bums KTFOed.

    19 year old me would KO 22 year old me for sure.
    19 year old me would KO1 (within a minute) 30 year old me.
    19 year old me wouldn't even be allowed to feast on current me.

    Jamie Moore went through it. He talked about one of his fights where he lost because he couldn't push the man back. When he got a bit older, he could and he won. It's just the muscles in your body full developing. It's why a 50 year old man will be able to lift heavier stuff and hit harder than a 15 year old, despite one being much fresher.
