It is Canelo, but He's been busy jumping 2 weight classes over the span of 3 years so i can see why he was granted such leniency over the last few years.

He could have squeezed a mandatory in there as a stay busy fight so I disagree

Bivol already said it several times that he is willing to fight Alvarez even at 168. It is obvious that Alvarez won't fight the best light heavyweights at 175, only drained corpses like Kovalev. And I would rather see Alvarez fight a real elite boxer like Bivol instead of someone like Plant.

I was unaware he said he’d come down, but I’ll believe it when I see them in the ring.

Bivol said that he can easily make 175, even if he eats breakfast before the weigh-in. So moving down to 168 would not be a big deal for him.

No one wants to see Bivol vs Canelo at 168.

Why would you want a 30+ year old LHW to boil down to 168?

    The pandemic was early 2020

He hasn’t defended since early 2019

He could have done it near the end of 2019 or early 2020 prior to Covid

Against Jacobs.. What did he do after that? He fought Kovalev, then boom.. It is what it is.

Hey, if you want to campaign in multiple divisions and still hold onto your title, you have to find the time to fight and make your mandatory.

I would have to see it to believe it. I think Bivol could put Canelo through it, but Canelo don't lose on points, they give Canelo judges virtual reality glasses before every fight.

How do you find time during a pandemic?
