I like Pac as a figher but his fans are usually not always huggers and bring down other fighters. His fans just exagerate his accomplishments way too much. I guess you could call me a PAC-fan hater though. Ha
I don't find them any worst then the Calzague or the few PBF fans. But they and Pac do get the stick way more then the other fanboys and there favorite fighter in here recently. I tend to get annoyed more by fans of fighters who are not quite proven yet and that make them out to be superstars.
They key difference is that most PBF and Calzaghe fans know more outside their fighter, Pac fanatics (most of them, not all) don't.
I am a big Pac fan but I can understand why a lot of people can't stand his fans. A lot of them have only started to watch boxing because of him. The Philippines need more fighters so Pac doesn't get all horrible fans to himself. Since he's the only one of significance at the moment, he gets everything good and bad. Most of these so called fans probably never heard of the other Filipino boxers that came before Pac and left everything on the ring. Like anything in sports you're gonna have bandwagon fans when a team or person does well. When Pac starts fading these dolts will vanish until the next sensation comes by.
I was a pac fan remember? i was the one who said he would work over barrera before anyone even heard of the guy. I am part filipino too, but the truth of the matter was i was hoping i 'd come out in HBO. I had never seen big time support for a filipino fighter before so i figured if i take my PI flag i would come out on tv. what i didn't know was that the pacamanic fever had started and there were real pinoys there with tons of flags. Good thing i had my meskin flag too. (note to people: i was planing on being neutral but at fight time i was pro EM courtesy of pacamaniacs. )
number one rule on sports... its just a game! Dont cry mman. as for your second paragraph... yea you should place mexicans in that catagory. They are bad fans. I saw a filipino who was in the nose bleed section (where all the raza was at) with a flag as his cape almost start a riot. Security had to get get him before he got seriously hurt. Mexican fans.. poor sports!
The best reply on the thread's question so far. A history book can never be perfected if the life of heroes alone are written, the audience played important role.
Cause Mexican fans are usually BOXING fans not just Mexican boxing fans. Im mexican and i like Watching Pac fight. Although Pac has beaten Mexican greats i know that in a couple of years Pac will be gone and everything in the boxing world will go back to normal. All the Pacamaniacs are going to be looking for "the next Manny" but wont get him so Might as well enjoy him while hes here. People who hate him shouldn't watch boxing if they cant take the sport like a man.
I agree with that 100%. 1990's Tito and Hoya fans were rabid animals. Now its the *******s and the Joyboys.:deal I try and not let it effect my watching the fights. If its on youtube I just don't read the comments.
Wow, what a **** post. So i guess amsterdam is mexican? huki? what about sweet pea? are these not the most notorious haters you *******s always talk about. You mean guys like freddy are haters? Kirk? how the **** do you even know who's what nationality when you only have a screen name to go by? Trying to blame mexicans as an escape goat to not be called a nuthugger, lame and pathetic.:yep
