The guy who hadn't competed in anything other than a local amateur junior tournament (which he didn't win), claiming he'd beat Floyd Mayweather with his "bone crushing" power, and would outbox Jack Sharkey is my favorite.
There’s been some great threads since I’ve been a member. It’s almost 9 years since I joined. There’s one that sticks out from all of the others, but I can’t find it. You’d have loved it. It was hilarious. It was about 5-6 years ago. ‘Mike Tyson vs a Silverback Gorilla’ - would it have been possible for Mike to have won? The comments were ridiculous, and I can assure you that some of them were serious replies. I’d love to find it again. I’ve never laughed so much in my life. Happy New Year mate.
The greatest thread of all time is lufcrazy's "What does floored mean?". Michigan Warrior was arguing with Luf and said floored (in boxing) can mean shocked as in she was floored by the news of the death of her grandfather, thereby completely ignoring the fact that the general is supposed to be a BOXING forum, lol. You simply cannot make this up. Luf just took the **** out of him and made the thread which garnered thousands of responses. Absolutely hilarious. Im going to ask him to repost it again.
Yep, remember that one well. How about some of Mendoza's threads made in the last 6 months ?? Guy could start an argument in an isolation pod and loooooong arguments as well, none of those 4 page sissy threads, proper 80 page man strength threads.
I don't remember individual threads per se for the most part, but one that does come to mind is many years ago, someone photoshopped Chris Byrd, complete in boxing gear and wild, almost pained and fearful look in his face, into mundane everyday photographed still-lifes. It doesn't sound like much but it was so funny and really well- done.
I remember another good one where a couple of people thought Marciano would of beaten Foreman! There was one more.....dare I mention it....... a few, very few, hardly any at all actually ( thank Christ )...thought Carnera was a better all round fighter than Bowe. These people walk amongst us and it is quite concerning.
