Yeah, 200lbs boxers are always going to look better and faster and throw better combinations than someone who is 273lbs, but Fury’s size combined with his own skills would COMPLETELY neutralise what Louis can do, the giants of Louis’s day clearly didn’t even have 1% of Fury’s skill, they didn’t even use their size one bit, they just let Louis in, I didn’t see them even trying to establish any kind of jab or even move, they are nowhere near Fury, the only thing they have in common is that they’re big, when you’re big and are not using your size it gives them a huge target to throw all sorts of combinations and it makes you look good, Fury would not give him that target once, if they were inside, Fury would tie him up with ease, Louis would not be able to use his skills against someone like fury, Fury would not let him come forward, Louis would have to go back, not because he wants to, but because he is forced to and Louis’s counters would be falling way short because his feet are so slow, he would have to fight on the back foot against a way bigger boxer who is very good and actually uses his high and reach and you have to have a certain style to fight someone like that and even then the bigger fighter has the advantage, you have to be able to move and have fast feet and you also have to be able to take advantage of any opening because you don’t get many chances, you only get a chance when the bigger taller fighter leans in and comes down to your height and even then they may see it and ride the punch and it most likely won’t do much damage, anyway Louis doesn’t have fast feet anyway and he can’t move around the ring

 

The idea that Louis feet are slow in comparison to Fury's is foolish.

 

Good point. Fury moves well for his size. Some have a lack of perspective.

The clip starts at the right spot. Just watch Round 10 when Fury was at his lightest and moves around all the time.
I dont know if he could do this at 273lb/123kg/19.5stone, but the version of the Wlad fight was very difficult to get.

And sorry ppl, but Louis is not faster on his feet as Wlad. When Louis indeed had a weakness it was his footspeed, the guy was not very fast or skilled on his legs. In all other departments of Boxing he was great or the greatest (combination punches), but here not.

Louis could move plenty fast on his feet when he wanted to.

He just rarely chose to.

 

Louis walked around the ring and stalked his opponents completely flat footed without any bounce and he never closed the distance fast either, Fury can get on his toes and even in the Wilder 2 fight, he may not have moved around the ring, but he was still elusive even on the front foot, he was able to push Wilder back and still move out of the way Wilder’s punches with his feet

 

He did that against smaller, quicker fighters. Against bigger ones he did a lot of that.

Louis could be on his toes, but he completely abandoned all defense while doing that; see how he got hit flush nearly every time he did that

Fury would decapitate Louis with jabs if Louis tried to be on his toes like he was in his fights

I do not think Louis can win this one on points. If he wins, it woud be a stoppage in the latter rounds. Bu that is a big if given the stylistic ingredients of this fight.

 

Louis also did that in the Baer fight but got away with it

 

Yeah, he got caught by nice set left hook but that's the only moment in this fight when Louis was in trouble and Buddy was murderous puncher.

If he got away with it, then maybe he did something right?

 

Or maybe Baer didn’t have the skull or the intelligence to exploit it? What kind of logic are you using?! He could have used proper defense with his footwork but didn’t. He didn’t do anything right there.
