It all comes down to personal responsibility, severely lacking in this country these days.

I remember sitting in a Jacuzzi with a nice Oriental lady originally from Hong Kong when Covid 19 was about to hit the UK.

Her advice was take no chances and avoid being infected as nobody knows the short and long term personal impact on their respiratory system. Sasha Pedvetkin for example may end up with the same lung capacity of Big Dave Price and is still unwell.

I took a no risk approach after this chat and even my boat has been 3 metres from the other boats on PPV nights.

I recently read a NHS stat that nearly 75% of people admitted to intensive care with covid are overweight or obese. So they should start there. Fat people already cost the NHS about 6 billion a year through entirely avoidable obesity related illnesses. These people use up time and resources due to their own gluttony that could otherwise go to people who are ill through no fault of their own. So really being a fat pig is far more selfish and socially irresponsible than doing things like seeing your family or not wearing a mask.

I can only assume that you don’t have any contact with people in the ‘at risk’ bracket. I have zero concerns with contracting the virus with regards to my own health, but if I passed it onto my parents I’d never forgive myself.

It just comes down to whether you’re a caring, decent person or not.

Dillian Whyte will be blaming the WBC for this and claiming that Povetkin has spread it just to avoid him.

I don't think a full, proper lockdown will work this time. The compliance isn't there. The Cummings debacle, the false sense of security masks create, general selfishness, knowing you're not really policed in any way along with the hoax rhetoric espoused by the lunatic element (many examples on this thread) means that it just won't take off. It will help but it won't be fully adhered to.

If schools are closed while parents have to go to work then who is going to be left looking after the kids? In most cases it's going to be grandparents, the old people I I thought we were supposed to be shielding. This schools thing is just more bollocks that has got nothing to do with protecting lives. It's the trade unions being incredibly cynical and selfish by using this as an opportunity to pay politics. All while they can get a few weeks off on full pay. Disgraceful behavior really.

Totally agree. Too often used as a point scoring exercise. Full of Nationalists just wanting to create division mate.

Yeh thats mad innit, though i think its over 60% of the uk is obese or overweight, so maybe we should ban all the mad shite thats on sale in supermarkets and only let people consume real food. Humans are too fallible and easily addicted to be presented with food shops were about 70% of the food on offer is bad for them. I dont think covids fake etc, but its mad when you look at how many health issues obesity/bad food environments cause and we only tinker round the edges with that.

Or even air pollution is estimated to cause at least 40 thousand deaths per year in the uk but we wont stop all car journeys etc for that.

Suppose the difference is weve come to accept those types of deaths and factored them in were as the covid stuff is an extra on top, but still if health and quality of life was truly the first priority of any government then wed be living a lot differently than we do now

Cases are going through the roof, they have banned fans from going to football matches again and had to suspend a Man City match because too many City players have corona, they are thinking of suspending the English football premeirship for a while again.

Plus there are too many people in this country who think it's a bit of a laugh, a bit edgy, to disobey the rules (see also fireworks going off every night from the beginning of October to the middle of January), or believe it's the right of every freeborn Englishman to do what the hell they like because Magna Carta. I'm sure my cousin would have loved the chance, had she not died of Covid.

Exactly. Sorry about your cousin. Half my family has it at the moment and my uncle is quite sick.

The horse has bolted for any realistic chance of effective management, not that we have an administration capable of delivering. I think we're just doomed to stumble along now until the vaccines are rolled out wholesale.
