Didn't realise he won at bantam, I'm not really a follower of amateur boxing. Are the weight classes the same?
They don't label the classes in amateur boxing like they do in pros. Theres no bantamweight or middleweight etc. Just a kg class.
I think it comes down to what he wants. If it was me I would take another big money fight at the highest level for a retirement fund. Give it everything you have and then retire- win, lose or draw. If he has fallen out of love for the game then sure retire. But whilst there are big money fights out there for him he would be crazy to retire if he still has the motivation to train and fight. If he fights on long enough then he is going to find himself competing against European/British level in 1-2 fights time. Again if he is happy doing that then why not? He isnt going to compete at the highest level though because his physical prime as a boxer is long gone, and you need that to compete with the elite. As others have said turning pro at 26 was too ****ing late, he left his best years in the amateurs. Had he turned over 4 years earlier, he likely would have won a world title in my view.
Lopez has all the belts. Say he moves up like hes talked about and vacates them all. You'd maybe have fighters like Kambosos Jr, Comney, Linares, Berinchyk, Nakatani, holding one or two of the belts and Campbell could certainly beat them
In theory ye. But it depends on when lopez relinquishes. And that will depend on the Taylor Ramirez fight. Then Luke would have to put himself back in line to fight for a title. The belts might get scattered as well. But I reckon he should try Haney, that fight could get made. He's a common denominator between Haney and garcia
Wouldn't surprise me at all if Hearn puts Campbell in with Haney.would be good money and Haney needs a decent name.

Haney would need to knock him out to gain any credit. Could be a very different type of fight to the Garcia one and one that Luke may fancy.
I think he should move up and position himself into a biggish / financial rewarding last big fight if he can. weather it be a domestic fighter or a world title holder , get a couple of decent wins at 140 and set up one final big fight !
The fact that he knocked Garcia down shows that he is able to mix it around world level, even though I'm sure he'll lose every time he steps up. I'd say drop down to domestic, get a few wins, build some confidence and you never know, maybe go for one more world title shot. Although there's always time to rebuild, his career path seems similar to a Martin Murray, Kevin Mitchell, Chisora - he's a nearly man.
I saw it differently. Garcia was wobbled and admitted to being pretty dizzy post fight. Garcia was looking up at the clock and there was still a minute 30 left. He just wanted to get the hell out of that round. I think Campbell could have and should have put him away at that point. I know Luke was weary of Garcias hook, but Garcia definitely did not have his legs back in the second round.
