I'm not being a moby, honestly, but what qualities does he have that gives him the potential to be a world champion?

He is 31 years old, His footwork is awful, his technique isn't the best, every time he has genuinely stepped up he has been beaten.

His resume is poor, ridiculously poor for a fighter who has been pro this long with a profile like his. His best win on paper is Korobov... and he retired due to injury.

He also blatantly ducked Golovkin, lost his pen and Brook stepped in, basically turned down multi millions and a shot at the number one in the division.

He has burnt bridges with nearly every UK promoter by the sounds of it, that isn't helpful. I know he has based himself in the US and has RJJ's backing him and Roy is training him so that could open a few doors but he won't be just given shots and money, especially in this climate.

But.. The fact is there are so many belts I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Jr picks one up, that's the sad reality of boxing in 2021, it's almost harder NOT to win a version.

But in my opinion there is no way Jr becomes number one in his division, he doesn't unify, if he does get his hands on one of the big 4 belts he will hold any belt hostage like his father did, he will milk it dry and at some point just cash out.

Jr himself isn't a bad person, neither is Sr, they are not horrible people but allegedly, according to promoters who have worked with them Sr has hindered and hampered Jrs career with outrageous demands and stubbornness.

So it will be seen if Sr has learnt not to get involved and also has learnt to keep his mouth shut and let Jr run his own career.

Sr blew all his money and ended up bankrupt, I believe Eddie Hearn called him a "car crash of a geezer" and pointed out that he earned multi million with Barry Hearn and splashed the lot up the wall, so did Srs ex wife, she exposed his "madness" in interviews.

Hopefully Sr leaves Jr to deal with the last few years of his career because he hasn't done a very good job until now in my opinion.

He has reached his potential. He has never shown to be anything over than a pretty good athlete. He can out work some fighters, particularly static ones like Abraham but that’s it. He’ll never confidently beat a good boxer. Nothing wrong with that. But that’s how it is

Tbf, even the interim belt was too much for him. If Koborov didn't pull out he would of won, was picking CEJ apart.

He’s yet to fight for the Commonwealth title.

So Sr has done an incredible job securing him millions and millions of pounds.

Jnr is a fine athlete with a great engine. But his boxing fundamentals are mediocre at best.

Any prime world class fighter beats him at MW and SMW.

What potential is that exactly ? It’s hard to see where he goes from here ? He probably made a good few quid with his limited ability is a big success !! But for me has made some bad decisions in his career , this latest part of his career where he seems to be basing himself in the USA hasn’t really gone to plan . Given the pandemic has been a big reason but he got lucky in his last fight it you ask me it was only early in the fight but the signs were not good he was getting outclassed for the short time the fight lasted !
He was calling out Charlo after that fight , that would be career suicide he would be made to look stupid it that fight was made but when you got snr as your advisor and telling everyone he’s better than Floyd mayweather because he beats up amateur cruserweights in sparring !

He will never win a world title

'I'm a celebrity', 'SAS are you tough enough' and 'celebrity love island' will be the pinnacle of his career.

All of the current top dogs at 160 and 168 beat him, Murata and Fielding types he beats, possibly Yildrim again but that's it, I reckon even the ghost of Lemmy could give him more than a hard nights work and possibly beat him. The Yildrim win was 2 and a half years ago, he's the wrong side of 30 and less active than Billy Joe Saunders.

Can see him beating Charlo and Benevidez. However against the likes of GGG, BJS and Canelo i dont't fancy his chances.

Genuinely think all Jr needs to do to reach his potential is fight at 160.

His biggest asset is his ridiculous athleticism. At 160 I'd expect his workrate to get him somewhere against most fighters. The 8 pounds to 168 is a fairly big jump, and I don't expect it does him many favours.

I think he should retire from boxing and follow in the family footsteps, if he trains hard enough and has enough application he may get a Sheriff's badge like his dad.

Lemmy V Eubank would be a decent fight but too much risk Eubank gets his lights turned off so wont happen. Other than the power advantage its probably a good match up for Christofer... As Lemmy is on the slide and holds hit feet and Eubank its probably fitter.

Koborov was boxing nicely and I while its not certain it would have ended the way it started off it didn't look good early doors.
Eubak Jnr is a fit brawler get into a war with him and he has a chance, if your fitness isn't great he will make it an issue. A BJS rematch would still be a decent fight but he needs to be active if he's ever going to win a legit world belt.

That said if he called it a day now, he's fought home and abroad. won the british title and fought good fighters in World Title fights. Nothing to ashamed of really. I'd like to see him win a proper belt i'm not sure he has the rounded skill set or the x factor to do it.
