Nobody is unbeatable, but who do you consider to be the head to head GOAT per division and who do you think is the head to head GOAT overall in boxing history.

It's kind of impossible to say who the overall head to head GOAT is but there has to be someone who is very difficult for anyone to defeat in his prime.

HWY: Ali, but 88 Tyson has a good argument.
    CW: Either Holy or Marciano.
LHW: Foster, Spinks, and Charles all have good claims.
    SMW: Easily Roy.
MW: Tough to say between Hagler and Monzon. Both have an argument.
JMW: Hearns, but only because the division didn't exist in Robinson's prime.
WW: Robinson, but Leonard has a case.
JWW: This is a really tough one. There's no consensus H2H GOAT at 140. If forced to pick, give me Benitez.
Lightweight: Duran clearly IMO, but I suppose a case can be made for Pernell.
JLW: Floyd IMO, but a case can be made for Arguello.
    Featherweight: Probably Pep.
    SBW: Gomez by a mile.
Bantamweight: Either Jofre or Zarate. I tend to think both beat Olivares.
SFW: I think Khaosai, but Watanabe, Roman, and Moon all have a case.
    Flyweight: Harada
    Light flyweight: Chang
    Minimum Weight: Lopez

Maybe. I had Foster down originally, but then went with Archie's career in totality. 219 fights/132 KO's. He did well against some top notch heavyweights also. Could beat anyone on the right day. Guess he wasn't unbeatable, though. Maybe Foster.

I'm not much of a Light Heavy fan, so it matters less to me. Maybe Moore. Maybe Foster. Maybe Conn.

I'd take Joe Louis over both, personally. I'd say he deserved a mention here as his best performances repeatedly brought him under 200lbs.
Wouldn't this eliminate Marciano (and Louis) from CW?
How about Napoles? He'd be my pick, and I think he gets overlooked there. He was a ranked contrnder for six years with a very nice resume there.

What about the man who beat Moore three times?

    Good point.

Maybe I'd be safer to just pick Marciano for Light Heavy. He could make the weight and he beat both the above mentioned. ;)

Think I'll just stick with Moore.

Marciano couldn't make the weight, or beat a prime Ezzard Charles, let alone make it and beat him.

Good point on the first two. I guess we need to establish whether we have to stay within the parameters of guys using their divisions at the time, or their actual weights based on today's divisions.

If we have to use their divisions at the time, then Holy stands alone as my CW GOAT, and Hearns stands alone as my Junior Middleweight GOAT.

Marciano was a big guy. There's a well known picture of a post-retirement Rock standing next to Liston, and he looks virtually just as big as Sonny.

Rock's frame was too big to be a light heavyweight in ANY era.

A guy like Kovalev or Beterbiev is built like a child compared to Marciano.
