Who do you think was better? Jofre, or Olivares?

    Sorry lol.

Yes, I think Mantequilla has a great claim as the H2H GOAT at 140.

I just give it Will based on the Cervantes win.

I think Olivares was a better, greater fighter but I think Jofre is a bad style for him. I think Jofre is the only fighter who'd beat a prime Olivares at BW, but I think Harada always beats Jofre. So I have them even.

The toughest kid in my grade school class. Brutal . Knew how to use his mauleys. Would take him over ANY 112 pounder in history.

    Perhaps.

I tried to approach this as it was posted, head to head best, as opposed to best overall in each class. I find Ike to be a spoiler, in the same way Saddler was a spoiler, meaning they could beat fighters that were technically better than them by spoiling their style (in the case of Saddler pretty much mugging a person like Pep).

Duran had that capacity as well, so point taken. What a match up that would have been, Duran vs. Williams in their primes. In fact, the best way to settle it would to get them in the ring together. Wish it were possible!

Very nice list! Many of your "first picks" were my "second picks". Solid.

I wish we had a time machine to make these dream fights between our picks happen! I really was close with Monzon and Moore , they would be my second picks too. Cheers.

You don’t think Rafael Herrera could beat a prime Olivares? Olivares once said he had a dream about fighting Herrera and he lost and said: “Even in my dreams I can’t beat him.”

Personally I think Zarate beats him more than vice-versa and I can see Panama Al Brown being a bit of a nightmare for him. Of course, Olivares in his prime can also beat them all.

Ike Williams has perhaps the best shot at Duran. I dont favor him though.

Duran, Williams, Whitaker, Ortiz, and Chavez make up the Big 5 of H2H lightweights IMO.
