Manny Charr doesn't hold any belt. All the HW belts in this great era belong to Fury and Joshua and when they collide it will be the biggest HW fight since Lewis vs Tyson.
Regardless of your sniggering these guys are still at the top at a time when they should be safely retired. Even Pulev and Helenius are still floating around making nuisances of themselves.
Go back and watch the fight, Fury was clowning him and got caught by a big haymaker clean on the chin, he sorted his act out and ended up winning though Also John McDermott virtually solidified himself as the one of the best heavyweights in England & maybe Britain after losing a contentious decision to Williams and giving him a close fight in the rematch. I actually think McDermott deserved the decision against Fury, but it was what his 8th or 9th fight
The fight was in the US, I've watched it multiple times, Fury had trouble early and got up, he also got up on shaky legs but was never struggling to make count. After the initial poor start he took over and dominated. Based on his win over Scott Gammar & MD & SD losses to Williams Mcdermott was probably was top 5.
Why do I even bother. This is the same guy that think Malik Scott ranks higher than Derick Chisora in the best Heavyweights of the last decade
Others have told you who Vitali has beaten, & of anything Fury is more vulnerable to the charge of beating (sometimes only barely) less than world class boxers. Look at the records of those he fought from Lewis on-they were excellent. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/7033 Height? The difference is negligible. Almost everyone observes how Fury is likely not even 6' 8", let alone 6' 9". Vitali rarely even lost rounds, & it is very unlikely but possible injuries or a cut would stop him as vs. Byrd or Lewis. You can easily argue for either one. But it is far from the clear logical pick to go for Fury.
Vitali is too tough, has too high a work rate , and has too good a chin to lose this. ( never even knocked down) I cannot see Fury having a better chance to KO Vitali than the other way around, nor to outpoint him. The physical differences are too close to make a huge impact. I would give Vitali the edge in presence and compact muscle. The only thing Fury has is movement and boxing skill, and those are slim at best over Vitali. Vitali takes this by decision and is close to knocking him out by sustained beating. Vitali did not fight like his brother, who was already well declined when he met Fury. Vitali fought up close and was very good at cutting off the ring. This is not helpful for Fury at all. Everything I see leads to ViK winning this by points. VK was probably the greatest H2H heavyweight in history as he fought all sizes, skills, and styles and almost never lost a round in his career. Fury has to many flaws to win this. IMO
