- Fury has the height and reach advantage. Tyson Fury height: 6ft 9 Vitali Klitschko height 6ft 7; Tyson Fury reach 85 Vitali Klitschko 79. - Like I said Fury would have been Vital's best win, so the fact that Vitali lost few rounds against lesser competition is not very relevant - Vitali does not have the best fundamentals, Fury's better, more fluid boxing and slick defense would give him trouble In all in all, it is fair to say Fury has the edge here. Now, I think the issue is that you do not really understand boxing and styles
The things you write strongly suggest you have little idea about boxing and styles. Toughness and workrate are not key here. Fury would make him miss a ton of punches with his slick defense. Fury would turn this into a boxing match not a war!!! Vital's lean back defense would not serve him well against a bigger more skilled man. His brother Wlad in his prime matches better up with Fury as he is the fundamentally more sound boxer of the 2 brothers.
A chin isn't a skill. . Mariuz Wach has a chin. Having a chin can't overcome Furys far superior footwork and ring IQ. Toughness?? Not really . He quit on his stool against Byrd then ducked the rematch. . He took a strike from an old washed up Sanders and retreated for the remainder of the fight. He retreated against Chisora. He kept his distance against a one armed Kingpin Johnson. Vitali did not like to box in close because he couldn't. . He could only operate from distance. . Fury has faster hands , faster feet and far more variety on the outside and in close . He is all wrong for Vitali. Nothing in Vitali's career indicates that he could or would attack Fury with the kitchen sink on the front foot. This idea of Vitali only exists in your head , not in reality.
Fury can't crack an egg off the backfoot and relies on feints and posturing to keep opponents off their game. He throws few punches as a HW and very few punches compared to Vitali. His chin was tested by USS Cunningham and found wanting. Vitali will outland him vastly.
Fury might beat a shot Vitali the one who fought Chisora and Charr. the one injury ravaged. But before that. Nope. He's much better than Wlad, and would force Fury to fight. Late stoppage for Ironfist.
throwing a lot and landing a lot are 2 different things.Vitali would look clumsy in the process.Actually Wlad would do better against Fury
I do not agree with the outcomes but at least we agree on something, who would do better.that is a rare occasion I guess
About the work rate: He would hit so many air hooks against Fury like he never had before. 80% of his punches would not hit Fury since he is defensive more slick like anyone Vitali had ever faced, only Byrd was similar but he was so much smaller. Even Lewis, Sanders or anyone else has a slick defense like that. About never knocked down: He was not just knocked down but completely out by a spinning kick from Pele Reid, who was not even with full power. And this shows he can be KOed when he gets hit by a strike (punch or kick) he doesnt see coming. Lewis also landed such a blind punch in the last 16 seconds of their fight, and Vitali was hurt much more as he was from the 2 uppercuts. He was holding and fortunately for him Lewis was too out of gas and stamina to move away and let Vitali go down to his knees (he would have if Lewis wasnt there to hold on). Fury would not KO him i am sure about that. Maybe a TKO because of cuts. Remember Vitali´s defense doesnt work pretty good against big guys with long reach. Hoffmann´s 79 1/2 inch (202cm) reach was enough to hit him good, but Timo doesnt have the skill so he was unable to hit him more often. Fury has not just longer arms + legs as Vitali, he even has slightly longer arms then Lewis. Vitali has damn long legs but average arms. Because of his long legs like Jean-Claude van Damme he was so good in kickboxing, but it also allows him to lean back so damn wide, even Lennox pionted this out. But against Fury all of this would not work, his defense not, his leaning backwards not, he would take almost all shots to his face and there is a chance to getting cut. Conclusion: I find it very strange when ppl see this match CLEAR for one or the other. Both guys can win a point decision, nothing is clear here. Once and for all man: FURY IS NOT 6´9´´(205cm)! Even his father admitted it to Haye, Bunce, Warren and Calzaghe. + Fury himself said to Wallin he is 6´7´´. He is either 6´7´´(201cm) or 6´8´´(203cm), or between. PS: I dont want to create a new thread for this, but how would following matchup look like: TYSON FURY vs TIMO HOFFMANN This content is protected Would Fury beat Hoffmann more easier as Vitali did?
Vitali. He'd be willing to drag Fury into a dogfight unlike his brother. He's not going to be bamboozled and do nothing for 11 rounds. He's going to fight Fury.
Fury has nothing to discourage Vitali. Eventually Vitali catches up to Fleeing Fury and stops him. VK KO8 TF
None of those guys are relevant in today's division as far as I can see. They are not beating anyone of relevance
This would literally make me want to puke, battle of the SHW fictional H2H GOATs with the two p4p most ugly styles ever.
