I like Fury much more than AJ, both as a boxer and i find his crazy antics fun. And he is much more skilled than AJ but let's be honest here, AJ has a better resume than Fury. While Fury is the most skilled heavyweight out there (with Usyk if you count him as a HW) his resume is filled with lots of journeyman or bum.

And everyone keeps mentioning Ruiz knocking out AJ but never mention how Fury should have lost against McDermott.

And about the AJ match, Fury can outbox him but if he tries to be as aggressive as the second Wilder match, it would be much more dangerous for him as AJ have a good uppercut and can still hit him hard while backpedaling.

Usyk is a riskier fight than Fury. More for AJ to lose fighting Usyk than Fury for sure.

People expect him to lose to Fury. Imagine the reaction if he loses to a Cruserweight and costs the fans the chance of watching him fight Fury.

“I want to fight whoever has the belt. If that is Tyson Fury let it be Tyson Fury.”
Word for word what he said.

AJ does NOT have a "better resume than Fury".

Fury's two wins against Klitschko in Germany and Wilder in Vegas are better than AJ's entire career.

AJ has never been the underdog in any fight. Fury has been the underdog, away from home, 3 times.

    Fury has also never lost.

More to the point, it would cost Hearn 10s of millions in lost earnings if Fury v Joshua doesn't happen. That's what Hearn cares about, and don't let him fool you otherwise.

That's one thing he said. And in another question he answered shortly before or after that he said:

"USYK is my next opponent. Respect to Tyson Fury, and that fight may happen when the time is right".

But AJ didn't realise that Eddie Hearn had already decided that Fury was next.

"I've been watching boxing since most you were in short pants, and I've never seen a fighter as scared as AJ now that AJ is being forced against his will to fight Fury."...you can't have been around too long Bubba! Lewis v Akiwande...after a 19-second hold that Akinwande refused to relinquish, Lane stopped the fight ....terrified of lewis, have a look ...

I think Hearn learned a lot from the whole AJ-Wilder non-fight debacle

The lesson is - Get in and made the BIG fight immediately - while the going is good

If you don't - it can be lost forever.

Yes indeed. And whilst wilder is now on record as saying he turned the AJ fight down to fight Fury for less money, we also have Barry Hearn on record as not being fussed if the AJ v Wilder fight never happened.

I don't think either side wanted the fight deep down.

    Yes, only business.

Ofc Usyk looks less dangerous than Fury. Out of prime Usyk, smaller than Fury, why not. Plus Usyk is less dangerous than Fury in clinch, there he is less dagnerous than plenty of CW top boxers.

More money than from Usyk fight.
Usyk vs A.J definitely had been sold better than A.J vs Pulev. They choosed 39 y.o Pulev with lesser sales potential than vs Usyk.

Usyk is just small for modern large HW era.
If compare with Ali and Liston, Usyk is not small cruserweight at all.
Ali vas 215 lbs vs 220 lbs Liston and Usyk is 217 lbs.
And nope, he didn't had bulked up 17 lbs when turned to HW division.
He when was CW pro had to cut something even after pre fight camp too. Before pre fight camp Usyk definitely was even a bit heavier.

Yes, Usyk is more dangerous than Pulev. A.J fought Pulev !

It’s still more impressive to have a win over Klitschko than Wilder. Only Fury’s win over Wlad is better than AJ‘s win over Wlad. Wilder an overrated hypejob who would have been sparked by Wlad inside 5 rounds even at 41.

today's Usyk looks less dangerous for A.J than Dorticos or Briedis.

Usyk might had Pulev and Wilder, then A.J.
Maybe Ruiz Jr if he is lazy.

Pretty much agree with everything you said. For the record i've never been a Joshua fan but no way does Fury beat him easily. Fury's the favourite for sure but he better turn up in good shape and not go to war like he did with Wilder
