No doubt he can win if he lands or take the training more serious. It seems these really huge guys just folds when it gets tough. I can’t think of his name but there was the huge guy from England, use to do repo work before MMA. A huge monster of a guy but got his ass handed to him by smaller more skill guys.

Probably just an exhibition, I watched the highlights and it looked more like a sparring session than a real fight. Ward circled and didn't really try to land much, Thor tried but was too slow to land, though he looked better than I expected considering how awful he's looked in the few clips I've seen him in training.

If he can throw a punch and it lands, it's definitely going to hurt. He'll also have a big advantage in the clinches. However, as has been said, he will tire early and subsequently become target practice for any decent boxer.

Hands off Lovejoy ... he's one win away from a WBC ranking and a Wilder fight. No need to put that at risk.

Steven Ward is above journeyman level.

Hes the kind of guy who could win a British or Commonwealth title at cruiser.

Its incredible to see the size difference at the weigh in considering Ward is 6'2 and 217, and that Thor has dropped almost 100lbs since he started training for boxing.

Its 3x3 and an exhibition, if Thor is completely out of his depth, I highly doubt Ward will be looking to beat him up or KO him.

The only things physical strength are good for in boxing are being able to push your opponent around especially as a crouch fighter.... I would use my shoulders a lot to move opponents who got in close and my legs to lean in and push them back...., Control(SOME) clinches in particular dirty or aggressive opponents, and use your legs for pressing forward.
Clinches you actually don’t want to push a lot and expend your energy, you really want to let the opponent do the majority of the pushing and kind of lean your weight into them. Unless there’s a physically dirty opponent or clinch then you would push back.

    Try 1 round.
If he actually has to work at another mans pace, there is no way he will be fresh in round 2.

If he gets to do whatever he wants to, it might be a different story.

Non one remember pudzianowski's somewhat indifferent boxing/mma career?

I’d be shocked if he makes it that long. Bet his Chin is pure China also.

That I would not bet on. He's still a big tough man with a tree trunk neck. I don't doubt he could go down but it's going to be 80% exhaustion

I reckon its 50/50 now. Eddie could catch Thor with an overhead right or Thor could box him and wait for Eddie to get tired.

Thor actually looked better than expected in that exhibition. He moved pretty well for a big guy who has had some knee issues in the past; and did land a couple of cuffing hooks off the back foot. Main flaw was that he lunged in with some really wide punches, which Ward pretty easily avoided for the most part.

He'd obviously be a severe underdog against any moderately experienced/talented heavyweight in an actual contest, but I wouldn't hate his chances in his upcoming contest against a fellow strongman.
