I mean p4p and not h2h. For example, I think Michael Spinks has beaten p4p tougher opponents than Mike Tyson, even though Mike Tyson was h2h much stronger and has beaten Spinks. Spinks has beaten the champion Holmes (Tyson fought an older Holmes) and won the rematch (but controversial) and at LHW he has beaten Marvin Johnson, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad and Dwight Muhammad Qawi.

But back to topic, at least at HW, I think Muhammad Ali has by far the most impressive record for wins over great opponents. But what`s up with other weight divisions? What do you think about guys like Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and others?

Of course, it`s also quite subjective.

I think those r some good ones. Ali, Robinson, and Michael Spinks r all good ones, although it doesn't seem overwhelming in the case of Spinks. Joe Louis is another one.

    Ali:
    Doug Jones
    Liston
    Chuvalo
    Terrell
    Quarry
    Bonavena
    Ellis
    Norton
    Frazier
    Foreman
    Bugner

    Robinson:
    LaMotta
    Graziano
    Castellani
    Fullmer
    Basilio
    (that's just those on film)

    Louis:
    Baer
    Braddock
    Farr
    Galento
    Schmeling
    Conn
    Walcott

Okay, my text was not separated:

You are right, unfortunately there are no films about his heydays during 40s, like fights with Kid Gavilan or Henry Armstrong (okay, he was past prime) and others. It would be such a pleasure to watch these fights.

With a question like this, Greb and McLarnin are some of the first that come to (my) mind.

Ah, ok. I was thinking of his heavyweight career and came up a bit short of big names.
