Was rumoured to be fighting Hergovic but has now been replaced by Bakole for that fight. Hunter seems so avoided/inactive. His only loss to date is Usyk and has wins over Kuzmin, Ustinov and a brilliant draw against Povetkin, which could have gone his way.

What's the deal with Hunter? I think he needs better promotion/management behind him, he's getting on abit and should be in the title mix. Has great hand speed and although not the biggest HW, is very accomplished and has won medals. Would love to see him fight winner of Povetkin/Whyte II.

Has that fight with Bakolie been signed now?

Hunter offers little in personality, is small and not what people, more so a casual audience pay for when purchasing a boxing ticket or event

He is slso good enough for people to swerve him as the challenge doesn't meet the pay on offer

Its a shame but that's the world we live in

Good talent but was well beaten by Usyk.

Whatever his shortcomings I still can't believe his last fight was a non-main event that wasn't on TV/DAZN/ESPN+.

He's an American HW in or near the top 10, he must have done something really gross with Bob Arum's mistress.

Solid fighter but will always come up short against the top guys in the division. Reckon he’d give Wilder hell until Wilder landed. Joshua and Fury deal with him not comfortably but they won’t struggle much either. He could be a champion at cruiserweight easily but he’s came to heavyweight for the money of course which is what most fighters care about rightfully so.

Ive always had a feeling that Hunter will cause an upset against somebody in the top 10

I don't need personality, boxer should box and he is not bad!

There too typical fanbase problem: idol should be undefeated otherwise he maybe is bad etc.
Yes, Hunter in CW was not capable to win Usyk, I'm sure he was not capable to beat prime Briedis if they had fought.
Yes, he de facto I think had lost vs Povetkin not get adk draw but fight was close.

Good boxer, watchable and had 2 good fights: Usyk ( lost by decision, clearly ), Povetkin ( ok, get draw ).
Yeah, Hunter and Tabiti, Dorticos should be used because they are watchable, I think.

He probably beats half the top 10 now. Whyte, Ortiz, Pulev, Povetkin(in a rematch), Parker etc I think he all beats. Just doesn’t beat a motivated Ruiz, Wilder, Fury and AJ I don’t think.

    He probably doesn't.

Michael Hunter is almost 33 years old. He has 19 wins. He's never won anything. I think fans of Eastern European fighters have a soft spot for Hunter because he has beaten a number of them - Ustinov, Kuzmin, Kiladze -- and looked okay not beating others ... but he's basically a contender.

He gets more love on this board than he does anywhere, I think. (LOL) He's just a guy. Good pro. But just a guy.

Good grief, no chance. He maybe beats Pulev, that’s about it from the list you have given.

Hunter looks like he hired a nutritionist off of craigslist lol
He legit looks like he was told "Just eat 5 whoppers a day until you're around 225lbs"
