Didn't Ali accept the loss on the night, directly after the fight? I generally take the opinion the fighters give directly after the fights, or at least until they've the opportunity to see what the consensus opinion of the boxing community/fans is regarding their fight, as the closest to their true opinion on whether they believe they really won or not. Obviously this isn't close to a failsafe but it's usually how I gauge that. PS: What a complete dildo the guy was being in his responses.
