I am shocked that so few people think that Joshua has a chance at this thing...

I'm going with Joshua, but probably partly because I want him to win. Tough fight to asses. It will go down to how well Fury manages to feint AJ and keep him on the end of his jab. i think AJ's jab to the body will be an important weapon for him.

I'm a bit surprised by the confidence Fury's backers got from the Wilder win and Joshua's loss to Ruiz. Very different fighters from both Joshua and Fury.

Joshua is going to win this one. Fury has been inactive for a year. Joshua is much better technically than Wilder and hits with similar power. He's stronger too. I don't think Joshua would be bullied around by Fury. I could absolutely see Fury being beaten at the bullying tactics.

Nobody has thrown feints at AJ the way Fury does.

AJ got bullied around by a little fatman.

You can't find sparring to replicate fury

    Plenty of AJ's around.

Wilder has more power in his straight/overhand right than AJ has in any punch, but overall Joshua probably has more power. He's aslo a top combination puncher for a HW while Wilder hardly can throw a proper combo.

I'd say Povetkin is a more refined feinter and trap setter, but Fury has the height and reach advantage which means that he doesn't need to feint to create openings, just feint to make AJ hesitant enough to stay at range where Fury safely can tap home points with the jab. Like he did against Wlad and Wilder in their first fight.

AJ gonna be telegraphing and falling short like Wlad whilst Fury hits him from the other side of the ring

Got bullied around by a little fat man because that fat man had a short stature with a short reach and threw insanely fast combinations and because of these traits he was the better inside fighter than Aj and was able to pressure him. Fury is the exact opposite of Ruiz and would get sent into orbit the moment he leans on Aj.

But heh what do i know. Maybe you're right and Aj is a bum whos fought nobody and the moment Kronk Fury steps into the ring Aj is going to beg the referee to stop the fight because he's absolutely terrifed of fury

I think AJ is better on the front foot than Wlad was. Especially that version of Wlad. When AJ and Wlad faced off, AJ was the one taking the fight to Wlad for the most part. Wlad was the more cunning trap setter, but AJ the better aggressor.

And then the question is also how does Fury of 2021 compare to Fury of 2015? I think Fury looked his absolute best in his last fight, but how much was that down to the limitations of Wilder seeing Fury was away for two years, apparently boozing?

I'm impressed by how good Fury has looked on the whole since he came back, but his opposition has been subpar except for Wilder, who's a very limited savant kind of fighter.

Tbf, there are question marks about AJ as well. The swagger he had before Ruiz hasn't really been on display since. Is that something that will make him more cautious against Fury than he would have been pre Ruiz?

Favour Fury, but only slightly, and this is the reason why. By the time AJ has started to figure Fury out, mid fight, he could have gassed out.

I love that this is going to be two fights. It will be extremely interesting to see how the loser adapts in the rematch.

Not a fan as such of automatic rematches, but this is such an intriguing match-up that this case is an exception.

I think it is silly to dismiss anyone of Joshua’s level against any fighter. It’s boxing, and things can change in a blink.

I think most are looking at it as Fury’s fight to lose because of each man’s response to their respective fight and career changing adversity.

In a relatively 50/50 bout, Fury got truly flattened, and could have easily been counted out, but rose up and not only survived, but brought the noise for the remainder of that fight, and carried it into a dominant performance in the rematch.

Joshua, in a fight he was supposed to dominate against a last minute, out of shape replacement, got stopped on his feet and seemed to capitulate. In the rematch, he fought safety first, and tentatively outpointed his opponent in wide fashion.

Rightly or wrongly, it seems to indicate that Joshua may wilt vs Fury if the going gets tough.

Maybe it happens, maybe not. Either way, it wouldnt be the 1st prediction gone wrong.

Fury is the man to beat. Once Fury steamrolls Joshua, Wallin will be the guy to have put the best performance against Fury. You are mad because you know that this is very likely to happen

I give him a chance, just a very small one! He either wins by KO or blatant robbery on the cards, otherwise I just don't see him realistically beating Fury
