Maybe Warrington vacating the IBF at featherweight has changed the plans for Conlan but I'm sure they said he was going to be challenging at super bantamweight and was being lined up to fight the winner of Fulton vs Leo for the WBO title, who are fighting this weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if Conlan moving down was partly due to Navarette moving up. Him and Conlan would've been on a collision course with Navarette WBO champion and Conlan high up in their rankings and both Top Rank fighters. Navarette would batter seven bells out of Conlan, and him and his team/Top Rank won't want Conlan suffering a loss yet when there's lots more cherry-picking to do and cash to be milked.
He's an okay fighter, might luck out on a vacant belt. Crazy how he said he wants a belt from 122-130 potentially, making out like he's even close to Frampton
Warrington vacating opens doors for Conlan. Top Rank behind him, huge noisy crowds, (Post Covid), in New York, Boston or anywhere in Ireland, he brings more than any other Featherweight contender to the table. But how does he avoid Galahad ?
