i really try to be neutral in my picks i mean you gotta pick a side you can't be freddy flopper about it riding the pine .. you have to make a decision i just don't get so wide with it as others do i try to keep that "you never know" factored in .. as long as we have the buster douglases and all that of the world we are gonna need to factor in "you never know" ..that's a big ...long but BIG factor ..

There’s a lot of fights where I wouldn’t have picked the winner. Quarry v shavers Satterfield v Williams Douglas V Tyson Baer v Braddock Ruiz v AJ. That’s what’s great about the sport. This is a weird one where although I pick Ike I wouldn’t be shocked to find out Mesi would have out boxed him and ran ala Foreman v Morrison

What folk dont realize is Ike was supposed to be just another stepping stone for Tua,the next Tyson. No one had heard of him. I picked him to beat Tua on another now defunct forum & got ridiculed. One guy asked me if he was Japanese as Ibeabuchi had an oriental ring to it I guess. When the fight was over things changed guys were saying He's Awesome!! Where have you been hiding him!! etc.
It was a similar case with Antonio Margarito/Miguel Cotto1 when I predicted he'd beat Cotto. I was ridiculed then they were calling Margarito The Statue LOL All I did when then fight was over I posted on line
" Ive never known a statue that could fight like that" I really felt good again
It really helps when you know the guys youre picking personally I guess lol

Mesi seemed ok but clearly limited .. didn't take the sort of shot needed to dominate at the top-level w that style .. Ike was a monster ... I've watched the Tua fight so many times and it was brutal ... I actually feel Tua edged him however I also feel he was never the same fighter after that fight .never as motivated or focused .. clearly never progressed .. Ike proved he could dish it out and take bombs .. he displayed so much more game and stamina as well ... Ike was also the only big man able to catch the highly underrated Chris Byrd with a single bomb and take him out ,..
