can’t force someone to fight. Warrington didn’t want Galahad when he was with Warren and he still doesn’t want him while he’s with Hearn. It’s a duck.

Good shout that Anjaw. Witter was worse because he could really bang too. Hatton wanted no part of him.

I can’t argue with that, though let’s be honest he fought Selby, Frampton and Galahad back to back which is as good a run of 3 fights as any current champion has had. He was underdog in two of those as well. I agree he’s boxing two duck eggs in a row, but i honestly have no interest in seeing him box Barry again. I know the first one was razor tight, but Galahad didn’t win - that’s a fact. What has he done to still be mandatory?

Selby and Frampton were good wins but you're going back to 2018. He was mandated to fight Galahad and the first thing he did was pull out injured. After the controversial scoring, the IBF put Barry in a final eliminator against the former WBA interim champion. Barry battered him.
He wasn't "still mandatory". He won the right to be mandatory. He has been mandatory since last February.
Warrington could have had a voluntary defence up until the end of November. Since beating voluntary defence Sofiane Takoucht over 15 months ago Warrington has not boxed. Every other IBF champion has defended in this time. Errol Spence has been in intensive care and then defended against Garcia since Warrington boxed.

Minus Frank Warren, Josh's career would have been total waste

Marrero was as bad as the Frenchman Warrington beat so I’m not putting any real credibility on that win. Looking at the IBF rankings around the time Marrero boxed Galahad, you could argue Marrero was the worst in the top 15. The 1 and 2 spot was vacant, Jazza Dickens was 3rd and Galahad 4th.

I’m not even questioning the IBF here - they deserve to be applauded for forcing a mandatory. I’m just saying a) I don’t think Barry deserves and b) I don’t blame Josh for not bothering with him again.

Be nice to see Galahad get beat in boring 12 round decisions on PBC over the next 18 months.

He was on track with Hearn before he left and went to Warren. It was Eddie building him up nicely, taking him from English title level to contender. They had a disagreement and mutually went separate ways - if they hadn’t Hearn would have still delivered the Selby fight lets be honest.
