It's fine to give an immediate rematch it's also fine to not. There's such a thing as non immediate rematches. They were pretty common during the eras everyone on this board pine for.

Wasn't that long ago that a champ would lose, do a tune up, then fight a ranked guy, then do a rematch (assuming the guy who beat him was still champ. If not maybe they rematch instead of fighting the ranked guy then winner fights new champ). Of course that necessitates fighting more than 30 times in ur career but that's another issue.

If loma sticks at lw and starts beating everyone else and lopez still refuses him a rematch, then yes that's ducking and worth criticism. Otherwise this is just a bunch of promotion.

My point is everyone needs to calm tf down. It's honestly kinda pathetic, some of the discourse on this board. This is a non-controversy. The most mundane of boxing happenings. Boxer accuses another boxer of being afraid of him. Boxer 2 accuses boxer 1 of being beneath him. Film at 11

 

I dont know about what loma said to teos father. I remember that loma gave extra % to make 1st fight and maybe that was trigger to not include rematch clause and other disrespect... I really dont know.

But my point is not about Loma its about Teo, he is no diferent then loma once he is driving seat if not worse

 

Well it is obvious that Loma is agnorant and believes he is the best he has only had 3 loses in his entire career.

Barnard Hopkins didnt give much credit to Taylor did he? (i know he had rematch close)

There is no warranty that if Loma kissed Teos ass that he would change his mind.

Now that Teo is Aside he shows that he is even more of an ass then loma was.

Loma atleast made paycut to make 1st fight.

 

Loma did not give up money to make the fight according to Teofemo. In fact, he got paid 1.2 mil, that was less than he expected, but since there wasn't a live gate, Teo understood why he got paid less than initially discussed. That being said, someone is not telling the truth. Since Loma lied about his shoulder prior to the fight, or saying he was 100%, I believe Teo on this one.

 

Lopez avoiding the rematch is a red flag.

If Teo can't fight any name between Haney, Garcia or Tank, he should rematch Loma. Otherwise, fight his mandatory or just move up.

Garcia and Tank are not happening. There is zero public interest for Kombozo.

Even if DAZN let Haney go over to ESPN (they won't) nobody but hardcore fans know Haney. Normies aren't watching DAZN. The payout is going to be significantly less than Loma. Anyways, Haney isn't going to come onto TR's network with his negative style and get a decision. No chance.

I'd be very intrigued for a healthy Loma to get a rematch. Far better fight than Haney (which ain't happening anyways) or Kombozos.
