I can't believe he slipt my mind ... Good call , the prize winner for here for me .. Converted south paw .. watch out for that left hook !!! And if he is fighting Zivic , watch out for the kick to the nuts!!
Miguel Angel Campanino was kayoed by Jose Pipino Cuevas in 1977. And Roger Menetray was easily outpointed by Jose Mantequilla Napoles in 1973, so was Clyde Gray.
Clyde Gray was one awesome contender who could do it all. Box, punch, body punch, take a shot and 15 rounds was nothing. I recently watched his fights with Bunny Grant and Angel Espada and he was so impressive.
I saw the Jose Mantequilla Napoles vs Clyde Gray World Welterweight Title bout in Sept 1973 live on ABC's Wide World Of Sports, it was a good fight. Gray did give Napoles a tough fight. It went 15 rounds.
I used to watch Boxing From The Forum on Friday nights in 1971 and 1972. It was televised by NBC. I saw Armando Muniz, Hedgemon Lewis, Ruben Navarro, and Jerry Quarry fight on some cards. Also another fighter, Ray Windmill White fight. These guys were sure entertaining.
