I want to achieve my dream to become a pro boxer but i have a few question to you guys.
How does a boxer make a fight from the fight and from sponsors. I know i never will become a worldchampion but i hope to become a fighter who fight a few times in a full packed stadium and sometimes on the main card on a promotion. How much does a fighter like that earn?

There is no set pay scale. What you get paid depends on a whole bunch of variables.

Don't go into pro boxing for the money - 99% of pro boxers don't make enough to live off boxing

There are even world champions who can't retire on the money they made from fights (especially in the smaller weight divisions)

Starting off with a great mindset I see, but to answer your question don’t even do it, your risking brain damage for money that you can’t even live off of

50 quid in our village hall if we can get an opponent
The problem we have at the moment is that we normally get fighters from the old peoples home over the vicarage ! but due to their age they are in isolation
I was always warned that boxing will kill them and we might have to stop . Boxing you locked them down to save their bacon I dont know know why they were panicking about them boxing :nonono

It depends. To get sponsors you should have a lot of variables there and a bit luck.
Also better if you look very impressive in the ring, therefore your matchmaking is doing 50% from your job.

Never say never but be ready to put in da game more than you will get in your pockets. I'm serious.

    Depends.
Where? Who you are? Your fights, how popular you are, ranking etc and etc. factors.

    It depends.
Promoter's need for you. Expenses to serve fight on card. How much tickets etc might be sold with you on cards. Opponent's purse.
A side kid or away corner guy.
    xx variables in the game.

If you are up coming with intent earn more later: initially first fights might gave not much at all there.
If you are amateur superstar signed by impactful manager/ promoter you might get sign up bonus higher than average pro might earn during his first 1,5 career years even if undefeated.

Unless you are a big name, meaning an Olympic champ or similar turning pro, in the beginning you're probably going to have to pay your opponent and you probably won't get paid at all. Usually a promoter sets up a show with the commission, rents a venue, pays the sanctioning/commission officials, the doctor, pays to have a ring set up, etc. Then the promoter lets managers/fighters know that he is having a show. The managers can pay for an opponent for their fighter or they can let an opponent pay for them. If they pay, they get to pick the opponent, if they get paid, that means an opponent is picking them. Obviously the person paying is looking for a fighter he can beat, he isn't looking to pay somebody to beat his fighter. A lot of promoters want a "slot fee" for allowing the fight on their promotion, that's another expense.

Some of the shows pay decent now because there are a lot of hoops to jump through. Fighters have lots of meds (physicals, brain scans, eye exams, etc.) to pay for (more in some states than others), there are licensing fees including a Federal ID for the fighter and fees for his corner, fighters are not allowed to fight for a certain amount of time after each fight (they are automatically suspended after a fight for a certain time and they can't fight every night or weekly like they did years ago), there are travel fees, etc.

I saw a text from a "match maker" looking for a fighter to fight at a certain weight. It was short notice, possibly televised, he wanted a fighter with a winning record, "no southpaws", etc. The pay he had listed (over $10,000) was higher than I've ever seen for a 6 round fight. That was after the match maker took his cut. And, for that pay, whoever was paying the money was looking for a fighter with a decent record to add to his fighter's resume', he wasn't looking for someone to beat his guy.

Most don't get rich boxing. The fighter also has to pay his manager, trainer, sometimes a cut man, etc. Some boxers do make lots of money, but most do it because it makes them feel like they are doing more with their life than just going to work at the same place everyday. They usually get to travel, they meet a lot of people, and the are "somebody" in their neighborhood.

This also depends from how good sales with you might be made even in local promotions.

    Yes for sure 100% correct.

approx the same, depends from fighter and his other credentials.

Most had put in there more than they had recieved.

Can’t believe people have waisted time to reply to a moronic post like this.... if he needs to ask this on a post I’d bet my bottom dollar he will never lace up a pair of gloves at any half decent level.

You’re not even an amateur .... you’re miles off!! It’s like someone on a provisional driving licence asking how much a F1 driver gets paid....

Don’t get me wrong I’ve got nothing against chasing your dream. But it’s just stupid and irrelevant. Concentrate on getting a amateur bout under your belt then a few wins !! You’re miles off it yet !
